Wow, now that's a book!

I love the Characters in this book! There's actually a plot and the way it's written pulls you into the story. Now, the Narrator, Jim Frangione, is perfect in this. He has a certain voice that pulls you. I really can't explain the draw he has in his voice. Just know I like to hear it especially when it comes to Alpha males. Great job. Audible, don't change Mr. Frangione as the narrator in Lori Foster books. That would really be a mistake.

FANTASTIC!!!

OMG, Lori has so much class in her writing! This book had me mesmerised right from the beginning. Dare... what an amazing man. I think he's every woman's dream. This story is so well written that you become fully engaged to fantasise about its characters from the first couple of paragraphs. Action packed, suspenseful, heart-racingly sexy and just so blooming amazing. There are no flaws in the way Lori brings these characters to life, in the way she moulds them into people you wish you knew in real life because you actually fall in love with them. Hands down she is one of my most favourite authors now that I have found her. This book is a fantastic temptation to continue the series knowing full well that each book is going to be just as good if not better than the first. I should know I've read them all. Please don't give this one a miss. If you like well-structured stories with amazing alpha hunks and witty, quirky, intelligent women with an engaging foundation of mystery to solve, together with the anticipation of smexy love scenes, then this book is for you. You will laugh, you may cry, I did, you'll be thoroughly entertained and at the end you will be hungry for more.

If you are lucky enough to have the Audible version too I fully endorse it. Jim Frangione is off the charts and the perfect choice to pull it off to perfection. He brings out the strong brooding male persona whilst expertly delivering the female voices so you forget it's a male narrator! The humour, let’s not forget the humour. Lori has a great sense of humour and that comes out clearly in her books. Jim's bedroom voice most definitely won me over. Now I'm ready to listen to "Trace of Fever" again. I'm just as excited as I was the first time I read it. It’s a real gem! This story is about Molly, who is Natalie’s sister, whom we met in READY, SET, JETT and she and Jett make an appearance in this book. We finally find out what happened to Molly and… as you know, no spoilers from me but I will tell you that it’s awful and amazing and we get to meet DARE… ahhh, Dare, there are no words, only Lori’s to describe what a man he is, so I guess you really will have to read it if you don’t want to miss out on an amazing book. I love it!

well written, kept my interest and still had some good sex & adventures. nice to see the female character wasn't passive but still held feminine traits!

Love Men Who Walk on the Edge of Honor

If you are looking for thought provoking books, these are not for you. These are about hunky men and romance. I have read all four books and now listening to them. These are a light, no thought listen. What can I say - I love strong men;)

Good start to this series!

Overall, this was a pretty good book. The Hero is a strong Alpha male who isn’t afraid to show emotions. The Heroine, does have a couple of annoying traits; she goes out of her way to make sure she doesn’t irritate anyone and she is so negative about her own self worth. This book doesn’t have insta-love, it actually takes a good part of the book for their relationship to progress. I do wish that there was more story after they profess their love. Their is also a mystery to be solved and a conspiracy to expose.
As always, JF is an awesome narrator.
Is this worth the time spent listening to it? In my opinion, absolutely, YES

Too Long! Good Book but Entirely too Long.

This book could have been cut down by about 2 hours. There was a lot of useless, boring story that could have been left out or condensed. The story was very good, the heroine and hero were very likeable. The story starts off with a bang and then it gets soft once the rescue is done. The story sort of meanders along after that, however the last quarter of the book picks up again and the ending is superb.

Pretty good story but..

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Liked it enough to finish it, not sure I'd listen to another by this author with this reader. The plot and the characters were good but the story felt dated - not sure why but think it may be the reader? I couldn't put my finger on why except his reading didn't have any urgency or maybe he couldn't give me a sense of the female characters.

What was one of the most memorable moments of When You Dare?

I liked how Dare was protective; he explains it as being protective of everyone (not just Molly) by saying it's everyone younger, smaller, older, etc. I also liked his love for and loyalty to his best friend Chris.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

Dare and Molly's chemistry could use a little more urgency or heat. I liked the love scenes, didn't love them. They didn't make me sweat.

4.5 STARS --- Good, well-developed story!

I really enjoyed this book, and will read/listen to more from Lori Foster. In most romance stories, the plot is completely secondary and usually pretty weak. Here, Ms. Foster was able to develop equal parts romance:thriller and they competed nicely. The narrator did a great job with the text, and was able to maintain the appropriate pace/rhythm so as not to distract. Well done!!!

I want a Dare!!!

Would you listen to When You Dare again? Why?

Yes, I liked this story very much. I actually have this book on my Nook and read it a year ago or so. I like to listen to books when I am cleaning my house or doing laundry.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Chris, he is a very good character I hope that he gets his happy ending too.

Did Jim Frangione do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

I liked how Frangione read the story and how he did the different characters. The big problem I had with this book was the pauses between chapters. They were so long that I often looked down at my phone to see if the book had turned off for some reason.

Great book

If you could sum up When You Dare in three words, what would they be?

Great book

Any additional comments?

Great book. Love the authors storylines. Narrator does a good job, except some pauses are a bit long, especially at the end of chapters.
