Publisher's summary

Lottie just knows that her boyfriend is going to propose during lunch at one of London’s fanciest restaurants. But when his big question involves a trip abroad, not a trip down the aisle, she’s completely crushed. So when Ben, an old flame, calls her out of the blue and reminds Lottie of their pact to get married if they were both still single at 30, she jumps at the chance. No formal dates - just a quick march to the altar and a honeymoon on Ikonos, the sun-drenched Greek island where they first met years ago.

Their family and friends are horrified. Fliss, Lottie’s older sister, knows that Lottie can be impulsive - but surely this is her worst decision yet. And Ben’s colleague Lorcan fears that this hasty marriage will ruin his friend’s career. To keep Lottie and Ben from making a terrible mistake, Fliss concocts an elaborate scheme to sabotage their wedding night. As she and Lorcan jet off to Ikonos in pursuit, Lottie and Ben are in for a honeymoon to remember, for better...or worse.

Fun storyline and great performance.

If you could sum up Wedding Night in three words, what would they be?

Great listen

What did you like best about this story?

Jane Entwistle. She's great! I love listening to her narration. She's able to perfectly convey every emotion and doesn't leave me annoyed with her performance. She performs how she is suppose to by cultivating the story and not trying to show off her own acting skills.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They are able to bring a voice to the characters. I could have probably created an idea of what the characters sounded like but the narrators did a phenomenal job by actually bringing them to life.

Any additional comments?

I've listened to other audibles in this genre and this is such a great listen. I would highly recommend Jane Entwistle as a narrator.

Good One

I enjoy an occasional "chick lit" reading, and Kinsella always delivers. I've read several of her books, but I really enjoyed this one - alot of laugh out loud moments. Good, easy read.

loved half the characters

If Lotte hadn't been fairly unbearable I would have given it five stars! The story is fun, and I love Fliss, enjoyable to listen to and you don't have to think too hard.

I Feel Sorry for the Butlers

Fun twists and turns. The butlers provided some funny comic relief and Noah was a little charmer. Wedding Night is one of those books that I can listen to again and again.

Sophie Kinsella does it again!

What made the experience of listening to Wedding Night the most enjoyable?

Having separate narrators really gave me the sense of listening to the private thoughts of these two sisters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

As I have a long drive to work, I looked forward to my morning drive when I could, once again, find out what Lottie and Fliss were up to!

A Laugh Out Loud Novel

If you could sum up Wedding Night in three words, what would they be?

Hilarious, farcical (in a good way), and sweet

What was one of the most memorable moments of Wedding Night?

So many! I would say when Ben and Lottie keep brainstorming new ways to solve the hotel dilemma. So many hilarious moments ensue.

Which scene was your favorite?

I would have to say my favorite scene was when Ben approaches the couple on the beach! Especially when the man thinks it's a scam to charge up the phone bill. I cried from laughing so hard!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The most moving moment was the romantic moment at the end which I won't describe since I don't want to ruin the book for anyone.

Any additional comments?

By far the funniest Sophie Kinsella book. It deserves a higher overall Audible rating in my opinion! I laughed out loud throughout and was in tears from the laughter most of the time. Amazing performances by Jayne Entwistle and Fiona Hardingham. They really brought the characters of Lottie and Fliss, respectively, to life.
