Publisher's summary

Jennifer Nolan has been unlucky when it comes to love; even more unfortunate when it comes to sex. In fact, the 20-year-old college junior is about to enter her senior year still carrying her v-card. All she wants is to be with that special someone without it resulting in a trip to the emergency room, runaway office supplies, or being scarred for life by someone's weird fetishes. With several botched attempts under her belt, she begins to fear she'll end up a lonely spinster or a crazy cat lady. With only 60 days until her 21st birthday, Jennifer is determined to lose her virginity once and for all. Little does she know that her mission will lead her down a path toward love. She never expects that her mission will lead her to a discovery of what true womanhood is, and where true and lasting love begins.

Sex in the City the College Years

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I definitely would recommend this audiobook. I had read the actual book a while ago but I still enjoyed reliving it through the audio version.

What did you like best about this story?

Jenn is a related about character. Losing your V Card is an important milestone and Jenn has a unique take on how to lose hers. Its funny and smart and well written.

What does Marami Hung bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Marami did a beautiful job bringing the characters to life. It added more depth to the story for me.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

60 Days...2 Guys...1 Mission

Any additional comments?

V-Card is a smart, funny look at a 20 year old college student, Jennifer Nolan, who is determined to lose her virginity before her 21st birthday; just 60 days away. It’s Sex in the City College Years. It’s a laugh out loud funny look at friendships, dating and discovering what you had in front of you all along. You cannot put this book down. Read it in one night!

Great story by an amazing author!

Jennifer is twenty years old and is living with four other people while going to college. She has always had bad luck when it comes to losing her v-card and Jenn has decided that she will change all that before she turns 21. As she sets out to find the “one” she helps out one of her roomies by posing as his girlfriend, while at the family party they attend she meets Dain whom she is instantly attracted too and she finally thinks she finds a man she may actually love. Over the course of time her roommates are always there for her and while things happen, true love ends up showing up when she least expects it (and from the last person she would expect :) ).

I absolutely loved this book! Right from the beginning I loved each one of the roommates and their unique characteristics/attitudes that all fit so well together. The interaction between the five of them was just perfect and I couldn’t help myself by falling in love with each and every one of them. I enjoyed the ride with Jennifer as she looks to lose her v-card as well as being there with her ups and downs throughout the rollercoaster ride of the 60 days prior to her birthday.

If you are looking for a good book that will make you laugh at times, hold your interest so much you cant put the book down, then this is the one for you!!

short read

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

it's a pretty standard romance HEA

Any additional comments?

It was okay. Not my typical kind of story but I enjoyed it. It was a little slut shame-y at times, but a lot of NA is, so just a heads up.

An enjoyable listen

If you could sum up V-Card in three words, what would they be?

Steamy, Funny & Cute

What other book might you compare V-Card to and why?

I haven't read anything quite like V-Card yet.

Which scene was your favorite?

My fav scene was when Jen found out what type of man Dan was... & gave him a black eye...

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Beware the 3 M's.....

Any additional comments?

This is the first audio book I've listened to.... I wasn't really sure if I was going to enjoy listening to a book rather than reading it myself. I found it kinda liberating, to be able to do chores or crafts whilst listening to the book, I got things done & was able to enjoy Alicia's words soak around me.

The virgin looking for love

This book had a few surprises in the love departments. It is a clean college romance.

A wonderfully narrated virgin romance novella!

Writing style: Jennifer’s POV only

What I enjoyed most about this novel…
Easy-to-read / Entertaining / Virgin trope / Roommates-turned-lovers trope / College roommates I wish I’d had / HEA
•*¨*•
Story rating: ★★★★☆ I’m a sucker for the virgin romance trope, so this book was like catnip for me. Without revealing spoilery details, I felt Jennifer’s quest to lose her virginity without further crazy mishaps didn’t play out as typically as I thought it might. I also liked the friendship vibe all the roommates had going on. It was a no brainer to download the next roommate’s story, Brat.

I actually binge read V-Card (Sharing Spaces, #1) by Alicia Michaels, Brat (Sharing Spaces, #2) by Alicia Michaels and Thin (A New Adult Contemporary Romance) (Sharing Spaces Book 3) by Alicia Michaels, and of the three novels, V-Card was by far my favorite.

I believe that is because the challenges in the subsequent two novels were just way heavier in theme than I usually prefer. Nevertheless, I’m glad I had them all to read and got to live several college experiences I never had vicariously through these characters.
