What a bounty of cheesy goodness!

Everybody and their dog knows I listen to this series because I like the narration. As usual, Robert Petkoff was all out and I love him for it! I just wish the plot would make the narration justice.

The plot in this book differed from the rest of the series - instead of him chasing her, SHE wanted the relationship while he wasn't very crazy about the fated mates business. But after a while, their relationship devolved into a lot of fighting and I didn't see how they fell in love. This story seemed more of an excuse to rehash what happened in the series and introduce new characters (that Jodian (sp?) has 'future hero!' written all over him.)

I laughed a lot with the love scenes - I know I'm not supposed to, but some of them were super cheesy and that epilogue was so sugary!

Even if the romance wasn't satisfactory, I still got a lot of enjoyment out of this audio. Hopefully the next book is better plot wise.

So Icey

I just love this KC series and I wish they were all on audible. This one is no exception. KC weaves a great story and RP's narration skills are the icing on the cake. Hurry up Audible and complete the series!!!!!!

Fun listen awesome narrator

But this definitely wasn't my favorite out of the series. In this installment of the series it is the fated couple of the vampire Murdoch Wroth and Daniela the ice-maiden Valkyrie. This book had a lot less action then her other books and it felt like it was a recap of book 1,2,4. Untouchable kind of felt like it was a "filler" book with all the recaps of the other Wroth brothers lives and their fated brides made it feel like the book was and after thought. I still very much love Kresley Cole and she is still the reigning queen of the lore but, like I said this just wasn't my favorite of the series. Robert Petkoff is the reigning king of narrators, very talented and fun to listen to. I still think it is credit worthy book, I would listen to anything Robert Petkoff reads.

This series continues to dominate!

Kresley Cole is a true talent in this paranormal romance genre. Untouchable is the story of the fourth Wroth (vampire) brother who finds love. It's the usual suspects...sexy brooding vampire, sexy feisty female, and the strangest obstacles and circumstances within their Lore world that threaten to keep them from realizing their dreams together. The plot was a little thin and there was quite a bit of weaving situations and specific scenes from previous books where Murdoch plays a role into the present day of this story, so if you've never heard some of the other stories you're good and caught up by the epilogue. I laughed, and got the warm tingly's :-) throughout this one, so for me that's a winner! The other stories in this series are well worth the listen, and have a lot of depth. If this is your first venture into paranormal romance, you won't regret getting this and others like it.

ANOTHER ENJOYABLE ADDITION & MASTERFULLY NARRATED

I love just about everything KC writes and the IAD series has been great, however I felt this book lacked something and therefore it's my least favorite in the series. But it was still an enjoyable 'must have' to any KC fan.

There was a cast of great characters, exceptional imagery, romance, lust, sex, a little action and a whole lot of frustration as Murdoch the sexy handsome Vampire (who was a 'love em and leave em' guy before he was turned) suddenly became blooded with Daniela (a half Valkyrie/Ice Princess) who he couldn't touch (well that's karma I guess). Added to that he initially resents being tied down to just one woman especially one he can't get intimate with.

There was tension as the H/H learned to trust one another, brilliant snappy dialogue, sexual tension as they tried to overcome the 'no touching' problem and finally, when they conquered their differences, an undying romance ensued. So you could feel the growth the couple had to endure to finally be 'together'.

Finally the narrator, ahhhh and swoon - as always Robert Petkoff's voice effortlessly transforms pages of dialogue into a passionate heart-felt listen and brings to life all the many characters involved. Any Romance book narrated by him goes straight into My Basket.

Worth a credit? Of course it's a very enjoyable Kresley Cole book and an important part of the Wroth brothers stories but she has set the bar high for herself with some of her other books. The Epilogue was good - Christmas Eve with all the Wroth brothers and their partners.

This is not book 8, it is book 7

There are 2 books in #7 one is "untouchable the other is by someone else, it's one of those combined books, with that being said this is a wonderful book, too short but absolutely wonderful non the less, Kresley Cole is my favorite, and she don't disappoint ever :)

Knew I wouldn't like it and I was right!

This installment was not even closer to the other 9 I have read. I had skipped it because I knew the challenge of not being able to touch due to her skin condition would be tedious. it was. Plus I didn't care for either character really. it really isn't necessary to read to keep up with the series. neither character brings something profound to the upcoming battle between good and evil.

best narrator ever!

the story was so so - i love this author but this story didn't do too much for me, but robert P is the MAN. sometimes i find myself blushing when listening to him reading a KC story b/c i can't get over they are having a man in a recording booth reading this out loud but he's so freaking good. i buy every KC book and b/c of Robert Petkoff i'll also be adding every cole audio book to my library.

In KRESLEY ible!

What did you love best about Untouchable?

how it tied several stories I already knew about into this one. Now we know where Danii was and what was going on. was a great tie in.

Who was your favorite character and why?

hard to say... i like both Danii and Murdoch but at different times. The relationship was certain complex.

Have you listened to any of Robert Petkoff’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

yup. this performance was as good as any of Ms.. Cole's other books narrated by mr. Petkoff. I'm definitely hooked. I certainly hope they keep this combination of author and narrator.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

the moment when they both realize they'll always love their families, but they are strong together.

a guilty pleasure

I try not to take myself too seriously, so if I've been reading a bunch of serious books, I like to throw one in from this series to break it up a bit. They all have the same pattern, but whatever. I liked that this one pulled some of the previous stories together just a bit.
