Publisher's summary

When vampires go on vacation....

Escaping a horrible marriage, Carolyn Connor has no desire to think about men - a vow she's determined to keep while on vacation in St. Lucia. She'll take the Caribbean sun and sea and plenty of tropical drinks with those cute umbrellas poolside, thank you. She absolutely does not need male company, no matter how tan and rock-hard his body may be.

Easy enough, but then Carolyn meets the charming Marguerite Argeneau, who is infamous among her family for her matchmaking prowess.

Christian Notte has well known the power of finding a life mate. He's seen enough of his Argeneau relatives taken down for the count, but he never imagined he'd let himself fall in love - until he meets the enthralling, charmingly skittish, and oh-so-mortal Carolyn. But how will he reveal what he is and still convince this once-bitten mortal to trust him with her heart - and her forever?

Good Story & Narrator

This is the book that started it all for me. I read an excerpt in the back of Husband Hunt by Lynsay Sands, bought it, read it, and then had to start at the beginning. Great story, very sexy, very funny ( I love Zanipolo's response to being thought gay), and full of women's hang-ups on body image based on age. It is another of my favorites in the Argeneau series. Kirby Heyborne reads for this series for the last time with this book. He does great Italian and British accents, and I assume chose to make Christian an American accent to distinguish him from the other Italians in this book. So long Kirby. You did a great job once again.

Its a Winner !!

Way to go Lynsay !!! Another winner. I loved this book. Its was funny and charming and yet maintained the high quality of adventure that all of your Argeneau books have. I laughed and cryed and laughed some more. Even though Christian's situation was precariously unfortunate under the circumstance's, it made for a riviting story, always leaving you wondering what could possibly happen next. Great Book !! Can't wait for the next one. It will be a sad day when there are no more. I hope that doesn't happen.

Not the Best.

The overall story was okay but I couldn't get over the fact that Christian and Carolyn's relationship was all based on lies. Saying he was gay so he could get close was deceiving, although he never once himself said he was gay. I wouldn't have appreciated that happening to me. Also, for an Italian, Christian had not one hint of an accent which was frustrating. And the end seemed rushed. Carolyn accepted everything without question after completely panicking and freaking out when she saw the other feeding. All she could think about when Christian was trying to explain things to her was how badly she wanted to sleep with him. Not my favorite book but it wasn't bad. I'm glad it's over though.

Very enjoyable

This story was yet another twist. This author has the best story lines. I’m not sure I get the title this time but I really loved the characters. This was not as difficult to figure out as some are but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Love this author!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Under a Vampire Moon?

I laughed out loud at the parts where Christian's cousin is trying to figure out how Carolyn could think he was gay. It was a well written and entertaining book.

I want more!

Lynsay Sands is a very talented author and has long been one of my favorites. This story is an easy read/listen filled with sexy scenes, jealousy, mixed signals and and even suspense. She was able to pull it off brilliantly. On the downside, I wish that she included an actual ending in her newest books. When she first started this series the books all ended with a traditional "happily ever after feel" so the books were able to stand alone. However, she now leaves us hanging. I'm assuming that the rest of the story will be in the next book, sort of disappointing. The story is a fun one and I do recommend it but I think that the first book in the series come together at the end best.

My thoughts on the latest Argeneau novel.

Would you listen to Under a Vampire Moon again? Why?

Yes. It had some laughs. I think that the "villian" was a little predictable though.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Julian had a great part in the novel.

What does Kirby Heyborne bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I don't do the voices, but I appreciate being able to listen while reviewing my computer work.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed in the bathroom scene, and also the cousin worried about people thinking he is gay.

Any additional comments?

Although I recommend this book, I would recommend the earlier books in this series more.

BEST ONE YET!

I have all the books and decided to get them on audio. This will not only have your heart melting but will make you laugh so hard...you may find yourself doing a bladder check. Excellent narrator. This author never fails me.
