Publisher's summary

The star: Joley Drake was born with a legacy of unexpected magical gifts, but it was the gift of singing that made her an overnight sensation - a rock-and-roll goddess trapped by fame, fortune, and ambition. Heated by the flush of success, Joley could have any man she wanted. But there¿s only man who can give her what she really needs.

The bodyguard: Ilya Prakenskii, cool, inscrutable, dangerously sexy, and working in the shadow of his infamous reputation - that of a secret Russian hit man on the payroll of a notorious mobster. He's the last man Joley should get close to, yet when her life is threatened on tour, she has nowhere left to turn. But in the seductive safe keep of Ilya's embrace, is Joley really as secure as she imagines?

All I can say is WOW WOW WOW

it was so hot. Every book is better than the one before. I’m ready to pack my bags and head for Russia if that’s the kind of men they have there. First Alexander in the last book and now Ilya. Incredible. I’m getting ready to start the last book in the series and I’m super excited. Hidden Currents here I come

Fantastic!

I have read many of C Feehan's books but this is by far one of my favorites! The storyline is compelling with several surprises but the main draw is the fantastic character development of the male lead. I have since gone back and listened at least twice more to this story.
The narrator is the best I've heard! She is able to give life to each character with a believable voice for each one and, in fact, creating a very sexy (and spot-on) russian accent for the male. She also takes up the emotion, breathless sexual anxiety or rage, with a conviction that makes the listener feel they are experiencing it as well.
Hope to hear more from this narrator in coming Feehan audios!

A turbulent story with a HEA!

Would you listen to Turbulent Sea again? Why?

Yes! I love anything by Christine Feehan. Her Alpha men are awesome and the women don't tend to be overly stupid. Some authors write women I want to slap upside the head and tell them to get a grip!

What other book might you compare Turbulent Sea to and why?

Hmmm... Stephanie Tyler or Pamela Clare are similar just without the magic. Cherry Adair writes books very similar including the magic stuff

Have you listened to any of Alyssa Bresnahan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, other books by Feehan and she always does a great job

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes even though I couldn't :)

First Timer

This was my first time ever reading/listening to this author and narrator. I hadn't even realized that this book was part of a series of books. It stood well on its own and I enjoyed it so much I had a hard time putting it down. I will definitely be reading/ listening to the rest of the Drake Sisters novels and any of Miss Feehan's other books as well. This was an excellent read!
