Good read

Loved this storyline and the narrator did a good job. My only complaint is the book takes place in Texas and the accents didn't even come close.

Great Book, but not what I expected

This book was shown to be the third in a series about The Archer Brothers, but there was no connection I could see so I was surprised. The book itself as a stand alone had a great storyline and narration. I really did like Levi and all his struggles.

Great storyline, Great passionate christian story!

Would you consider the audio edition of To Win Her Heart to be better than the print version?

No.

What other book might you compare To Win Her Heart to and why?

Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, because it is a great passionate story about forgiveness and love.

Which character – as performed by Therese Plummer – was your favorite?

I really liked Levy and Miss Spencer.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The story of a sizzling, tantalising, knee weakening, passionate love between a man and a woman, the way God intended it to be.

Great book, great narrator!

It's my first experience with an audiobook and since I'm not a native english speaker, I was a little uncertain. But I fell in love with the story. It's a wonderful inspirational romance with lessons of forgiveness and humanity. And I think the narrator is a really talented actress with a gifted voice that really help me to understand the dialogues and is "in tune" with the emotions of the story.

Story With a Strong Message of Forgiveness

Would you consider the audio edition of To Win Her Heart to be better than the print version?

This was my second Witemeyer book and I really enjoyed it. The hero, Levi, is such a humble, sweet man and my heart broke with the way he was treated at times and the struggles he faced. Eden's character got on my nerves at times with her self-righteousness, and it took a non-Christian girl to show her how snooty she had been. At times, there were too many musings with the characters. The narrator was enjoyable and easy to listen to, though she had the female characters speak in a Southern accent instead of a Texas drawl. Being from Texas myself, I had to get over that minor detail. Overall, the story was an enjoyable listen.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, not necessarily

Lacking depth

Any additional comments?

Although I did enjoy this book, I often found myself wondering what the story consisted of besides interaction between the heroine and the redeemed male character. A good romance can be fun from time to time, but there just isn't a whole lot going on in this story. Also, everything each character does is guided by God. That's lovely- in a religious genre. However, I found it to be a bit mundane after awhile.

touching story, could not stop listening

This is a really interesting listen. If you read the reviews first, you will note this is a Christian book, so listeners should expect that. Very captivating story line. The author does a good job developing the characters. The narrator provided good variation and did a good job with Levi's speech, which is central to the story line. Definitely recommend this listen to anyone!

good read

karen witemeyer has become one of my favorite Christian authors. she knows how to write love, adventure, humor, mystery, and God into a real good book. I haven't been disappointed by any of her books yet. if you love a good clean God fearing romance book that can make you laugh one minute and leave you speechless cause you want to cry in the next minute, then karen witemeyer writes them.
