Levi was my favorite but Therese Plummer is the best narrator I have ever listened to !

I would highly recommend that this book be made into a movie. Karen Witemeyer is my favorite author, bringing good Christian reading with the love of God and lessons from the bible.. Therese Plummer should be the only narrator Ms. Whitemeyer uses, as she has the gift of many voices, female as well as male.
I could not put the book down reading it in one day and I am anxious to read it over again.!

Refreshing, Romantic

I like a good cookie-cutter romance, and this fits the bill. I did not know it was an inspirational romance, but that made it even better. I didn't like the leading lady at first, she was terribly judgmental, and I was not surprised that she overreacted to the truth. However, her young house companion really set her straight, which I found tremendously satisfying. I enjoyed the story, the narrator has a very pleasant voice, warm and sincere. This audiobook gave me warm fuzzies from my head to my toes. Enjoy!

There was a humorous edge from the very beginning.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The big brawny blacksmith with his constant struggle between appearing stupid and sounding stupid.

What does Therese Plummer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

This was like watching a movie without using your eyes.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I never listen to books all in one sitting. I would rather savor the book slowly, listening to several parts more than once.

Any additional comments?

This is a book based on faith and values. If you are looking for steamy sex encounters you might find this a bit tame.

Amazing Narration

This story was so lovely. Karen Witemeyer always does a great job on her books.
The narrator did an outstanding job in her performance. She was able to give each character a voice of their own, and made the transitions seem effortless. She makes the listener feel like they are right beside the characters in the book. I will definitely be looking for more books narrated by her.

Great Great Book

I loved this story. I main characters are appealing and the supporting characters add to the great story line This was well worth the credit. One of my favorite books. The read Therese Plummer is so so good. I buy books just because she is the narrator.

I received this book as a surprise sale so I was skeptical. Regardless, it has a lesson about second chances. It was a good listen.

This Author can sure make a gal sit on the edge of her chair reading this book. So much appreciate reading a Christian based Historical romance knowing it is clean from cover to cover. I have several more I purchased to read by Karen Witemeyer. You can read these books and feel like you are right there in the story being told. Keep them coming, Karen. Thank you so much.

I loved the storyline and the reader made it seem so real. I hated for it to end
