Another great storyline by Ms Dohner. A stubborn male falls in love, this book has a very exciting and dangerous romance. It’s got heart wrenching emotion, almost erotic sex, thrilling action scenes. The characters in these books are amazing. Don’t miss out.

The Hero: Tiger - He is New Species with large cat DNA and is the head of security at the NSO Reservation compound. He is a bit of a player and doesn’t want to settle down with a female. Though from the first time he meets Zandy, he is very attracted to her and can’t seem to keep his hands off her.

The heroine: Zandy - She is human who has been twice divorced and has a home in the town right outside of Reservation and one night she is at a local bar when a huge bar fight happens. She is knocked out and trampled, though the local Sheriff has called for help by New Species. Tiger sees Zandy go down and rescues her. Things get a bit steamy in the parking lot. Later, Zandy gets an office job at Reservation and again meets Tiger.

The Story: It isn’t long before Zandy and Tiger start a secret affair. They meet in the forest to hook up every night. During the day when they pass each other or are in the cafeteria, they act like they don’t know each other. Things get hot and heavy between them very quickly.

When Justice North and Jesse announce that they have mated to the media, the human haters who demonstrate outside Homeland and Reservation start to get out of hand and one day when Zandy and her human co-worker are returning to Reservation, they are attacked. I like that this book has made these haters a bigger part of the story, since this would probably be similar to how humans would act in real life, there are a lot of haters in this world, groups of people who are racist today would probably be these same groups.

I like that we got to know Vengeance better in this book and I wish he had his own story, though I looked and none of the other New Species books are his. I hope he somehow finds a human mate in one of these books, because his is a sad story and all he wants is someone to love.

This book is told in dual points of view via solo narration and was narrated by Vanessa Chambers. Vanessa’s voice is terrific, it is soft and feminine, and she is fantastic at doing a bunch of different voices for different characters. For a book that only has one narrator, she is a great choice.

5 Tiger Stars

Of all the characters Tiger and Moon are my favorites so when this book came up I was ecstatic.
Again this is a re-read and I loved it even more this time around, because I really got to see Tiger and his struggle a little more clearly.

Tiger never wanted a human for a mate, he didn't want to be tied down after everything him and his people have been though. For him that meant falling in love and taking a mate.

Soooo when Zandy forces her way in without knowing it, poor Tiger doesn't stand a chance again a cute little human.
Zandy who has been hurt by love in the past is NOT looking for love, she is content with her status in life but Tiger can’t be ignored.

I loved getting to see these two fall in love, and the struggle to not feel what their hearts and body already do. It is kind of beautiful really. The mind always catches up though.

That is why I love Tiger and Zandy’s story so much because its relate-able and kinda purrrfect. ;)

Again I am outstanding by this narrator and how each book feels different yet the same. Love it and can’t wait to get to the next one.

An endearing Tiger "tale"

I want a new species! Tiger is so sexy and the story, although light, really captures the imagination. Laurann Dohner has created a very believable world with hot hunky creatures that makes reality look wanting. I love how Tiger fights his "wants" and gives in to his "desires".

Oh my this is one of my favorite in the series but OMGOSH the way they make Tiger sound is horrible.. It takes so much away from the story.. Other then that it's awesome.

Well, well, Tiger fell in love with a human. This book was toned down a bit from the last ones. Narrator was excellent and is the voice of this series. Hope Ali Ahn continues with the remaining books. So glad I found this series. Hurry up Audible and release the other books in this series. I'm waiting! :)
