Publisher's summary

The Manor, the very place where their passionate love affair began, fills with guests on what should be the happiest day of Ava and Jesse's lives. She has accepted that she'll never tame the fierceness in Jesse - and she doesn't want to. Their love is profound, their connection powerful, but just when she thinks that she's finally gotten beneath his guarded exterior, more questions arise, leading Ava to believe that Jesse Ward may not be the man she thinks he is.

He knows too well how to take her to a place beyond ecstasy...but will he also drive her to the brink of despair? It's time for this man to confess.

I loved their crazy!

If you could sum up This Man Confessed in three words, what would they be?

Crazy sexy entertainment

What other book might you compare This Man Confessed to and why?

I've never read a series quite this crazy, so I can only compare it to Jodi's One Night series (still my absolute favorite!), the only other series of hers that I've read. They both had a British setting and a hero with a unique career and alpha behavior.

Which character – as performed by Edita Brychta – was your favorite?

Jesse!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

'Unravel your knickers!' Or, 'Let's make friends!'

Any additional comments?

One of my favorite quotes was: ‘If our normal is me preparing and eating breakfast with both of us butt naked, then I love our normal. If our normal is taking three hours to get ready because neither one of us can keep our hands off each other, then I really love our normal.’ ~ Ava. And the epilogue in Jesse's POV was fantastic!

Crazy Mad Intense

This Man Confessed continues the story of billionaire and sex club owner Jesse Ward and interior designer Ava O’Shea as they try to sort out their life together and deal with Jesse’s past. Crazy exes, car chases and filthy sex, this book has it all.

With the exception of the epilogue the story is told from Ava’s POV.

This series was one of the first ‘naughty’ books I’ve read and I’m now revisiting the Manor. While this book won’t be for everyone, if you like over the top possessive and unapologetic alpha men, you’ll probably swoon for Jesse.

one of the best erotic romance trilogy EVER!

First, I really think the narrator did a fantastic job with these books! This is the final installment in this series and what a crazy wild ride!! I've been looking forward to losing myself once again in Jesse & Ava’s sexy world and it absolutely did not disappoint. For me, this erotic romance trilogy stands above ALL others. This Man Confessed was everything I was hoping for!! This was a lengthy book but perfectly paced. This Man Confessed is not without the shock and awe that we also experience in the two prior books. It’s truly a wild, bumpy and emotional ride loaded with intrigue and shockers, undiluted lust and mind-bending sex plus a compulsive and intense love. Be prepared to be swept away by their story! So yes, this book is HOT! If you loved Jesse Ward in This Man or Beneath This Man, I will be astounded if you don't fall fan-crazy in love with him more in This Man Confessed. He truly is all pure, sexy, unadulterated alpha! All the Jesse secrets come out and new conflicts arise in their relationship. Rest assured, you will have a VERY difficult time putting this book down. When I was finished with this book, I felt completely satisfied. I had no unanswered questions, the epilogue was perfection. I am a little sad that Jesse and Ava’s story is over, but I was so happy with how it ended. This is one of my favorite trilogies. It’s intense, beautiful, emotional and full of drama! Obviously don't listen to this book if you haven't tackled the other two first, but if you love over the top crazy possessive alpha men with dark pasts who fall in love with a woman who tries them at every turn even though she's madly in love with him & fight multiple obstacles together, this is totally the series for you.

One of the best romance trilogies I ever read

In this third book of the "This Man" series the story of Jesse and Kate's super-hot attraction and challenging relationship continues to unfold like the layers of an onion peeling back. Yes, this book has even more revelations about Jesse's complex, difficult past, but each one is part of the reason this incredibly erotic love story can be more than lustful fairy tale. One cannot help but fall in love with both main characters. They are clearly gorgeous (the "god" and the "temptress") and interesting, yet their genuine humanity is helps us to identify with them. While their story is so full of extremes in plot twists and odd characters that it is hardly a "normal" life, on an emotional level it is strangely like our own stories of working out the difficulties in loving ourselves and each other. A wide range of supporting characters - including friends, family and surprising villains - keeps the story rich and interesting. The narrator does such a wonderful job of rendering the voices that we feel we know these people as they laugh at their own jokes, frustrate each other or cry out from emotional depths. Even if erotica is not your favorite read, stick with this one. It is tastefully and even beautifully done. More than just gratuitous and titillating, the sex is actually part of the plot. Every moment of "shock and awe," or "sleepy sex" or even frightening jealousy helps build a story about the redemptive power of love. Jesse's voice narrating us the "epilogue" of the story is touching and totally believable and adorable. Absolutely credit-worthy but be sure to read in order for maximum effect (though each could stand alone).

sensual, devastating, charming and dominant hero

To be honest I did not enjoy the first book as much as the other two in the series because it reminded me too much of Fifty Shades in that both have a broken up male characters with money, looks and need to dominate the heroine. However, as the story continued in the second book, the difference became more and more clear. I liked the handsome hero who had no boundaries for himself and yet expected the heroine to follow all his rules. He continued to say "language" to her for the slightest curse word and yet he passed them along freely and as frequently as he wanted. If I were in a relationship with a man like this I am certain it would not last long but in this book his character is so endearing that you forgive him all. The heroine is frustrating in the sense that she gave in to him all the time, but then again, if she didn't the relationship could not have continued with his demanding forcefulness. I guess life is full of give and take but here is mostly give on her part.

The only other comment I can make is that I wish there was a bit more of the story and less sex. WOW. I can't believe I just said that. I LOVE sex in romance novels but it seemed to somehow displace the story in this book at times which should have been the main focus.

I very much enjoyed the narration. She did a fabulous job with all male and female characters and the right infliction where needed. Great job Edita Brychta.

Overall a very enjoyable book that makes you want MORE for yourself as well.....

Good enough conclusion

What made the experience of listening to This Man Confessed the most enjoyable?

It was good to get Jesse's entire backstory, and the narrator was excellent.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the progression and changes that were necessarily made in the relationship between Jesse and Ava.

Which scene was your favorite?

There were many, but I think I enjoyed hearing Jesse's inner dialogue in the epilogue. He actually is humorous, which was difficult to see without knowing his thoughts.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No!

Any additional comments?

I think this could have easily been a two-book series. I hated book one, loved booked two, and liked book three very much. Had the author combined the three into two, I think it would have been an excellent decision.

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! 5+ STAR 4 ENDING W A BLAST!

I can't believe that this was Malpas's debut trilogy! She did a wonderful job in creating leads who were so potent, interesting and flawed that they felt real and tangible.

Ok, I have to admit that this book had so many emotional edges that I had to call in a life line. I threatened to go straight to the epilogue if my friend (who had already read the book) did not give me some assurances that things would be alright (silly, I know)…LOL (thankfully, she never spilled any spoilers). The first part of the book was more rocky, but after a point, it was smooth sailing and simply sumptuous and beautiful between Jessie and Ava.

My goodness can Jessie and Ava fight!!!--BUT OH MY GOODNESS, they LOVE way better than they fight. And, believe me for every time they spent apart they made up for it like 10-fold. Yes, this book is steamy, hot and that never changes….the chemistry between Jessie and Ava was always ON FIRE!

Throughout the series I had been interested in the balance of power between Jessie and Ava and I felt like Malpas did a great job in establishing a "normal" that works for these lovers. Jessie loves Ava in a violent-crazy, intense, beautiful, amazing kind of way and Ava returns that love and accepts his ways. But, Ava not only accepts Jessie's ways, she loves them (constantly finding ways to get a "sense" sex, or "retaliation" sex out of him etc.

Fortunately for readers, this book leaves no stone unturned when it comes to unresolved issues or suspicions carried over from the previous 2 books. The things that bothered me most about Jessie was how he applied a double standard in how he dealt with the women that pined for him as compared to how he makes Ava deal with the men that seek her out. YET, this aspect is dealt with and there is an "ah-hah" moment for the reader.

There are so many things I loved about this book--the way Jessie and Ava love, play, and who can forget how she holds on to his body, "baby-monkey style." There are so many surprises in this book, but there was 1 surprise that really melted my heart and KILLED ME….LOVED IT!!!

Now I have to say, I still don't like Kate (Ava's friend), I didn't like the way Ava dealt with her brother, and I still felt no sympathy for Sarah…but, that's part of how much these characters felt real. You can't like everything about people in real life, right?

The epilogue was stunning……simply stunning. I was left feeling happy, giddy, satisfied and sad all at the same time because this wonderful trilogy was over.

Thank you Jodi Ellen Malpas for delivering such an emotionally, crazy, interesting and hot romance. I really loved the authenticity in this romance based in modern-day London with all of the colorful British colloquial language: "bloody, shag, cow, knickers, willy-nilly, twat, tart, toilet (instead of restroom), etc. "

Narrator: Edita Brychta was excellent. She performed beautifully. Loved her British accent!
