Book 1 of This Man Trilogy, the number-one New York Times best-selling series!
Young interior designer Ava O'Shea has no idea what awaits her at the Manor. A run-of-the-mill consultation with a stodgy country gent seems likely, but what Ava finds instead is Jesse Ward - a devastatingly handsome, utterly confident, pleasure-seeking playboy who knows no boundaries. Ava doesn't want to be attracted to this man, and yet she can't control the overwhelming desire that he stirs in her. She knows that her heart will never survive him and her instinct is telling her to run, but Jesse is not willing to let her go. He wants her and is determined to have her.

I avoided this series for awhile and now I wish I had not done it.
This is one of the best one's I have read in a while!
I would recommend this to everyone.
This book and it's 2 others should be illegal it is so good. I just couldn't stop listening. The narration is fantastic and the story line incredible. Just Wow!!
I simply could not get into the story because of the grating voice of the narrator.
The book says she is 26, the reader is clearly in her 40's. it makes it hard to see things in my mind how they were to be intended when the reader is clearly older.
By far the best I have read from the narrator to the story itself it is an amazing journey!
Eva because of her spirit and she is the most frustrating female as well!
No but I adore her!
Yes it made me laugh, cry and become very aggravated at times
A must read!
I'm not quite sure how to put my feelings into words for this book. My emotions ran the gambit, but mostly I think I was just mad at Jesse for being an ass and Ava for putting up with it. I think I could have stood it better if she was a true submissive and he a true dominant, mostly the relationship seems borderline abusive, but the story just sucks you in. The secondary characters are fabulous. The language and narration take some getting used to because of the story taking place in London, England.
I've always said a good book takes you through all emotions, this one does. The content is for adults only. Worth a credit or the cash.
It's not so much the details of a long love story in comparison to other great authors. The setting actually spans little time, but if you start this one and you're not afraid of racy moments and the obsessions often spoken only in the minds of those fearful of falling in love, you WILL NOT put this one down.
I suppose I simply loved the drive that pulls us toward that crazy thing called love.
Some books are butchered by the reader. This one is a smooth fit to this magnetic love affair. I've quit listening to books I thought I'd rather read than hear in one of "those" voices, but Brychta's performance just had you repeating some lines from the book because you liked the ring of it in your ear.
Most assuredly this is a book you can't put down and somehow dread when the end comes because you feel you want more of it.
I probably said enough...I ended 'This Man' only to race to audible to purchase the next one 'Beneath This Man'.
Hot, Enchanting, Hypnotic
For me the most note worthy moment of this book is when Ava finds out what "The Manor" is actually all about and how she handles it. "Good Girl"
This is the first book I've heard Ms. Brychta perform and I was absolutely hypnotized by her
I loved the immediate spark between Ava and Jesse. In my opinion it was tastefully orchestrated which drew me in to the characters and kept me interested through out the story
I completed both Book 1 and Book 2 of this series within a week, I couldn't put it down. I am impatiently waiting for Book 3 to be released on Audible.... Book 2 ended with a shut the front door moment leaving me over anxious. I've been twiddling my thumbs and checking Audible daily to see if a release date has been set up yet but to my utter disappointment I am left with no signs for the release. Sigh... Still waiting
It was manipulative, passionate, dominating and romantic in a twisted way. If you liked fifty shades of grey well this book will give you your credit worth. In some ways I loved the heroine and other ways she worked my nerves because she didn't seem strong enough but she was not stupid. I wouldn't want her best friend because sometimes you really will wonder who side is she on. Then the our leading male character is just that a character. He is someone that in the states that you would really consider putting a restraining order on but he's such a great lay that you'll be like "nevermind"...lol. I bought both books and hope that there will be another.
