Publisher's summary

Millionaire Kane Dennison's first mistake had been carrying an injured Willow Nelson inside his home, which, as a rule, was off-limits. Of course, she'd needed his help, but his one kind gesture had her believing he was a nice man. He wasn't.

His second mistake had been surrendering to passion after warning Willow to run away. Because a woman like her deserved better than a one-night stand. She believed in soul mates. He trusted no one - needed no one. And not even Willow was going to change him!

Enjoyable 2nd book!

Loved the story, wasn't a fan of the narrator. For the life of me I don't understand why the same narrator wasn't used in all 3 books in this series, since the characters from the first book have a heavy presence in this book and no doubt in the third one, which has a different narrator too! I want my characters to stay true to form and with the constant changing of voices, that's not happening.

I enjoyed Willow and Kane, she was quirky and fun, he was private and withdrawn. Willow just being Willow talked herself right into Kane's life. It was pretty funny and awfully cute! Not much drama, a sweet ending, and nice lead in to the next book!

I always know I'll love the story when i start laughing at the start. I did that with this one. Then cried at the end. Love stories like this.

Hot, Sexy and Funny

If you could sum up The Unexpected Millionaire in three words, what would they be?

Hot, Sexy and Funny

What other book might you compare The Unexpected Millionaire to and why?

Love all 3 books in this series, this one was the funniest.

Which character – as performed by Catherine Carr – was your favorite?

Willow, she made her seem so witty and alive!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The actual moment Cain decided he couldn't live without Willow.

Any additional comments?

Wish I had the guts to come at a man as Willow did to Cain.

Fu. And Sassy

An alpha male and a ditzy female make for a very loveable storyline. The author would do better if she changed the book cover however the narrators are great

I loved it!

Where does The Unexpected Millionaire rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I would give this book a ten. It was very enjoyable.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was Kane.

Which scene was your favorite?

I have so many. I think one of my favorite scenes is when Kane defended Willow against her father.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book evoked many emotions. I felt so sad for Kane because he had been hurt so many times that he didn't want to let anyone in. Willow made me laugh. I think the narrator did a great job with her. And I was very pleased with the ending,...........although it came much too soon.

Any additional comments?

Susan Mallery is now one of my favorite authors and I look forward to reading more of her work.

Short and Sweet

Susan Mallery is one of my favorite romance authors. This is a short and sweet, well-written romance. Great for when you are in the mood for a short, yet, engaging romance.

Disappointing

Would you try another book from Susan Mallery and/or Catherine Carr?

Loved the 1st book in the series and was excited to download the second one. The female role in this book was so annoying. Really didn't believe that a man could far for a woman like Willow.

What could Susan Mallery have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Not make Willow so annoying.

How could the performance have been better?

Yes.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Very Disappointed in the female role.

It's Okay.. Lots of Fluff

I downloaded because of the ratings and was disappointed. It is OKAY. It is not wonderful. The main female character was annoying to the point I almost quit listening but I think that is the point. She gets better as the book goes on. This could have been fleshed out much better. I was looking for something to listen too that wouldnt take much brain power and this was it! Needless to say I downloaded a sister book as well.

It's okay.. not out of the ballpark great.
