Another great romance novel by Elizabeth Hoyt.

Elizabeth Hoyt is a wonderful author. I love her fairy tales too. I really enjoyed this book. The story was good and the narrator just makes this book so much better. I enjoyed the Maiden Lane series so much, I was so happy to see this Raven Prince series come out on audible. The first book in the Four Soldiers series is good but unfortunately the narrator is not so good and I was only listened to the first book. UGH.. If you enjoy historical romance novels you will enjoy Elizabeth Hoyt. I am now a fan.
I am moving on to the second book of the Raven Prince series, Leopard Prince.
Moira Quirk is fantastic, one of the best narrators. Worth the credits and dollars.

pleasantly surprised by the narration

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

yes. the story is well told and narrated very entertainingly. It has just the right mixture of suspense and romance. This is certainly not my last book by the author...or the narrator!

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Raven Prince?

not sure if there was a most memorable moment, but I did enjoy the fact that 2 stories were told simultaniously - the Raven Prince and the actual story about Anna Wren and Lord Swartingham. Although it was confusing at the beginning, I liked the touch it gave the story throughout the book.

Which scene was your favorite?

to be honest...I am not finished with the book yet...but I liked the scene in the library very much.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

again, the library scene, as this is the first time, Lord Swartingham seems to understand that Anna wants only him.

Any additional comments?

For me the narrator is the highlight of the story. Personally I used to prefer contemporary stories told by American narrators, but Moira Quirk’s performance has proven me wrong. She did wonderful job, differentiating the different characters by giving them different voices and accents. Very well done!

Very Good Listen

Moira Quirk does a very good job narrating. The characters with their insecurities are believable.

Very Enjoyable

Immediately got the next book in the trilogy. One of the better romances I have listened to recently. Good commute listen.

would have loved a bit more voice distinction

Loved the story...read it once already and fell in love with Ms Hoyt's writing style. So for me audio book was the next step. Moira Quirk does not disappoint, but I was looking for better voice distinction. There are scenes where I found the supporting characters interpretation by the narrator a little over the top :-/ other than that its a hard to put down/pause read<3

A Saucy Romance with a Duel Story - & 2 HEAs

I loved the duel storylines of 1) “THE RAVEN PRINCE” fantasy-tale 2) woven into the presentation of Lord Swartingham as he establishes a family and resettles into his childhood family estate. The RAVEN PRINCE contains romantic tension, suspense, fantasy elements (due to the tale portion), realism, and Saucy-ness (Steamy romance), the latter perhaps too much for some readers. I didn’t find this dark or too angst-filled and sighed at the ending.

Book was good. Narration not so much.

This was my first Elizabeth Hoyt book in a looong time. It was a good story..not great, but good. The characters were fairly well-developed and the dialogue was mostly interesting. The narrator was just not strong enough to give the characters depth. With another narrator, I think the dialogue would have been more mature..more robust. Note: to me, screaming, yelling and cussing does not make for mature dialogue.
