He thought I owned him. He thought he loved me, that I was enough. But this animal, this sex god who could drive me crazy and steal my heart in the same breath, he would never fully be mine. It was impossible. No one ever owned a God.
One year. I have one year to find out more about this man I am marrying. More about his family. More about our sex, and all of the dirty, delicious places it will take me. I thought I'd spend this year making a decision. I never thought the decision would be taken from me, snatched right from my naive little hands.

this one wasn't bad, just not as good as the first book. Ms. Torre tried to give more with the plot, but she could have stuck with the great scenes. i know the normal progression of a relationship, but there's was too quick for this couple. especially for Brad. he should have needed more time, but he was gung-ho for it all.
Devra Woodward's pace is too slow in comparison with narrator on volume 1 and 2 .
End of the Innocence is the third and final installment in Alessandra Torre's erotic/romance trilogy titled Innocence. I thought the addition of thriller/mystery elements was a surprise in the second book, but I obviously had know idea what Ms. Torre had up her sleeve! Ms. Torre had me glued to every page of this book and I loved it! This has been a great trilogy that I started out loving but honestly didn't have high hopes for the long run. I was wrong. I don't re-read many books, much less entire trilogies/series but all of these books were put right back on my list for a re-read. Alessandra Torre is a goddess. Have I said that yet? Check her out!!
Alessandra Torre's Innocence trilogy includes the following installments as of December 2016:
#1.5-The Diary of Brad De Luca
#3-End of the Innocence
I loved the narration in this series!
My favorite quote:
"The horrific thing about having everything you wanted is the constant fear that it would all disappear."
I loved this whole series. It had great suspense, angst, super hot sex scenes. If you don't like explicit sex scenes then this series is not for you. Also, if you don't like ménage à trios (threesomes) then this also isn't for you. Other than that if you like all of these things, then most certainly have a listen. Ohhh yeah, these books are written in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person which makes it so much better. I have actually never heard a book written as such and I have to say I love it. I will be listening and reading Alessandra Torre books from now on.
What happens when the people in your life don't think you should be with the person you have fallen in love with? In the final installment of the series, that's exactly what Brand and Julia are forced to find out as their worlds collide, putting them through the biggest test any relationship could imagine.
This book is filled with lots of suspense, a little bit of angst, plenty of hot and steamy moments, and a good amount of tugging at the heart strings. Torre could have ended this series in a few different ways, and I was concerned for a good while about how it would end, but I couldn't put the book down and devoured each page just to find out.
Note on the narrator: There was a change in the narrator for this recording, the third book in a series. The difference was jarring and surprising. I preferred the initial narrator over this one.
Hearing Brad and Julia's story end
Julia dealing with Brad's family and staying strong through it all
This series was my first Torre read, and wow ... she didn't disappoint. A few people I follow raved about her books and I decided to take a chance. SOOOOOOO glad I did. What talent!
From the mix of first, second, and third person narration (VERY GENIUS!!) and the carefully, well-developed storyline and exciting plot to the edgy sex scenes, I was in awe of this work. At first when the rules were thrown in randomly, I was confused. Then I figured it was some sort of foreshadowing and decided to hang in there, cos with so many 6-star reviews from intelligent readers there had to be some truth to their opinions, right? Well, so glad I held on.
Talk about a unique plot and a non-predictable story! Wow!
I listened to the audiobooks (all three in three days! Work? What's that?) and I would highly recommend this to lovers of erotica who don't mind a little swinging. :-) Very intelligent read/listen!
Love Devra's sexy voice. She took Books 2 & 3 to a whole new level.
What a GREAT roll coaster HOT story! Alessandra knocked the ball out of the park on this series!!!!!! Edge of my seat. A curve balls throughout that makes you obsessed to see how it plays out. I did prefer the first two books narrator as she felt more like Julia in my mind and it was strange switch for the third book, but I did get over it quickly. If you want a compelling, completely different story this is it and will be on on FAVS list!!!
STORY: 5 stars
PERFORMANCE: 5 stars
OVERALL: 5 stars
I enjoyed this book MUCH more than any other book in this series. Like the others, INNOCENCE #3 does not contain unexpected twists or awe inspiring, jaw dropping plots that I have learned to expect from Alessandra Torre, yet this book came closer than the others. The huge difference between the first book in the series and this one is remarkable. I don't know how Ms. Torre did it or if she was changed in someway during the years between these books but it's almost like a lightbulb went off and history was made.... in this book, I finally saw the clever, unique Torre writing style I love. Also impressive in this third and final installment is the incredibly erotic, descriptive, HOT HOT HOT sex scenes! At times, it was impossible not to, "see" an image of the characters and what they were doing due to Ms. Torre's uncanny ability to articulate every nuance, position, sound, etc. Alessandra, you rocked the sex world in this book! And, true colors came out; The creative story line demonstrates that you are capable of writing more than a basic, average romance!
I listened to INNOCENCE#1-3 via Audible audiobooks. The first 2 books were narrated by MacKenie Cartwright; I had given her performance 5 star ratings for each of the first two books. However, after listening to Devra Woodward narrate this book, I can't imagine anyone else capable of filling this role (sorry MacKenzie)! I've never heard a narrator fit a role or read a book more perfectly! If I could give her performance more than 5 stars, I would!
