Publisher's summary

Twenty-year-old Camryn Bennett thought she knew exactly where her life was going. But after a wild night at the hottest club in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, she shocks everyone - including herself - when she decides to leave the only life she's ever known and set out on her own. Grabbing her purse and her cell phone, Camryn boards a Greyhound bus ready to find herself. Instead, she finds Andrew Parrish.

Sexy and exciting, Andrew lives life like there is no tomorrow. He persuades Camryn to do things she never thought she would and shows her how to give in to her deepest, most forbidden desires. Soon he becomes the center of her daring new life, pulling love and lust and emotion out of her in ways she never imagined possible. But there is more to Andrew than Camryn realizes. Will his secret push them inseparably together - or destroy them forever?

Pretty Darn Good

This book is pretty good. I'm not jumping up and down ecstatic about it but I was good and sweet and heart warming. I loved Andrew's character. It is definitely a slow burn - takes a long while before the love story heats up, but still very good.

The dynamic between the two characters. The way the interacted.

thoroughly enjoyed this story

Wasn't sure what to expect when i stsrted listening but I got very invested in Camryn and Andrew's story. I'he been reading several romances lately and there is definitely a formula - the girl is ready to have crazy sex with no strings and the guy wants to please the girl before he takes anything for himself. And this story isn't really different in that sense. But I found I liked these people and I cared about them. I am looking forward to listening to the continued story - "the edge of always".

Beautiful Journey

I know that some have reviewed this book as slow. I agree to a point. It is a love story told through many years of their lives. However, it was a beautiful love story. Cam and Andrew have ups and downs just like any couple. Their story makes you laugh and cry. There is just something about the two of them that keep you listening. You want to find out what will happen next. Cam is young and confused but knows that her current life is not what she wants. She does not know what she wants but then meets Andrew. He is running away from his troubles and feels an immediate connection to Cam. Together the set off to change their destiny. The thing I like about this book is that it is not so over the top with events that happen to Cam and Andrew, that you can still imagine yourself in their place. This is a romance story that will not disappoint. It reminds me a bit of S.C. Stephens books.

A Touching Love Story and Sweet Romance

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. I was pulled into the sweet love story of a young girl who is hurt and frustrated and found someone if she can bring herself to trust him.

What does Lauren Fortgang bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Lauren brought the Camryn alive. I enjoyed the depth of her performance and how Camryn spoke with light in her voice or a chuckle that felt real and less like they were words written in a book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes - I am a sap at heart. Don't want to give a spoiler, but there is a stressful situation, and of course I teared up like a baby.

Any additional comments?

My only negative comment, and the only thing keeping the book from getting five stars is that part of the story felt like it resorted to the standard boy/girl flirt/mistrust cycle that is so common in romance novels. I was able to predict what was going to happen, but I still really enjoyed the story anyway.

This was one of the first audio books I ever heard and it’s why I have listened to over 1000 in the past 4 years and I have listened to this book several times and bought the paper backs also and the next book is just as good!

I never give reviews but WOW.....

What did you love best about The Edge of Never?

I loved everything about this book! I had no idea what to expect when I started this book. I've been seeing great reviews on the Goodread website so I was excited to see it available thru Audible. The characters are beautiful, story is wonderful, and I fell head over heels fast with Andrew. He's hot, sexy, passionate, dominant, funny, strong, and yet he is sensitive. This book has some definitely steamy parts! I think this book was well written and well performed by Lauren Fortgang. This book hits you in all the right places! It has its sincere moments, funny moments, passionate moments and I was even a blubbering tissue blowing mess towards the end. This is by far is my new favorite book! It surpassed all of my other favorites straight to the top! BUY THIS BOOK!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I absolutely love Andrew Parrish. He is everything a girl could dream of for a perfect man!!

Which character – as performed by Lauren Fortgang – was your favorite?

She did a fabulous job with all of them! I will definitely look for more of her narrations!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes Yes Yes..in fact, this book was worth being sleep deproved the next day for work!

Any additional comments?

I hope Audible gets the sequel that is due to come out in November. I wish Audible would start a genre on New Adult Romance not just Contemporary Romance. There are some very popluar books out that I'm dying to hear rather than just read. I would spend more money on credits if more new adult romance books were released on Audible!
