Hello, my name is Teresa and I'm an addict.
I enjoy all the LOTU stories up to date. The story lines do not progress the way that I think they should or expect. I was a little disappointed with the way that Legion turned out to be. I did like her in the previous books. My favorite is still the second book The Darkest Kiss with Lucian and Anya. Looking forward to the rest, now only if there was a sale, I would be happy. A series that defiently needs to be read in order. Another series recommended it Psy-Changling by Nalini Signh.
I'd rather listen than read!!!! This is my joy!!!
I liked The Darkest Passion. I was surprised that this book would be interesting to me and the most thus far in the series. I really loved the narrators spin on the voice he uses with the demons in this story. I loved the author's use of the demons to bring comic relief at times and make you pay attention to them, for their characters are just as important. I loved the love play between the two main characters. I loved the dilemma.
The love scenes and how they can never complete them like they are suppose to be completed.
When Legion burst in during Aeron and Gwen's afterglow.
I laughed a lot at the book. It was a wonderful laugh and I listen to excerts of this book every now and then to gather tid bits when listening to other books in the series.
I never write reviews but this novel was too good! It was the best book so far in this series, not to mention any of the many other books I have read! It actually made me cry! Most all the other of the books in the series so far have been a bit slow in the beginning and then picked up in the end but none this good. This one from beginning too end was action, suspense and everything you would want!
The ending suspense!
Too much and it would too big of a spoiler....sorry you have to read the whole thing!
I did cry.....I never cry when listening or reading a book!
You have to read the whole series to understand each book, including this one.
Nicely coming together
The Black Dagger Brotherhood series
Passion and emotion
When Sabin professed his love for Gwen and admits all of his deep secrets and vulnerabilities
Keeps you on the edge pondering the fate of the other Lords ... there are "hints" at what is in store for them... still wondering what role the harpy sisters will play!
I love losing myself in books of any kind
The women's storeline..The two women in Aeron's life, those whom claimed to love him soooo much, were selfish never caring about what Aeron actually wanted. We are in the middle of a war ladies and you guy are trying trick this man into bedding you. The Angel Olivia was just as spoiled of the Demon Legion.
Yes, I really have like the Lord of the Underworld series. I would enjoy to listen to another.
Whether Male or Female he has the voice down packed. He pulls you into the mood of the story.
Slap some sense into the selfish women and tell Aeron to pick a grown woman.
Everything that occurred in this book was basically put into motion by self gratifying women
I love the romance, the fantasy, the characters. I have listened to this series several times. It is worth a second and a third listen.
Though I still like Darkest Night the most, this one is the very nearby second. I love the side stories, really make you look forward to the stories that Ms Showalter has in plan for the series. Mr. Bellmore does a great job reading this book and I think he's gotten better book after book. I would recommend this book to anybody. I would recommend that you read the series in their order, and read all the novellas that are related as well. Ms Showalter! I wish I have your imagination!
I have to start out by saying that I love Gena Showalter's books and I have all of them in print. When I read this book it was not one of my favorites of this series, but I ordered the audio book anyway because I wanted to have them all in audio. I was truly surprised because I enjoyed listening to the book way better than I enjoyed reading the book and this is not usually the case for me. Max Bellmore brought the characters to life for me in a way that the written pages didn't. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance.
I must say that I did not like this book. All the climaxing going on in this book and the ending was highly anti-climactic. I was listening to the book on the subway and I was embarrassed. LOL but it wasn't sexy just sex and some of the lines the characters said were so corny. And I found myself hoping it would hurry up and get to the point. I don't like writing bad reviews but this was just bad I'm sorry to say.
I've listened to all of the Lords series released so far and I was looking forward to this book. I'm very disappointed. First, I found the book hard to follow. The narrator's voices are hard to distinguish and many times, I found myself wondering which character was talking and if the words were meant to be verbalized or just thoughts in characters head. I don't remember being confused by this in the other books. I also do not like Olivia at all. I don't believe her character. She went from angel to complete slut in the blink of an eye. I wish the author had handled Olivia's sexual awakening a little more innocently, with more exploration and build up to the (pardon my pun) climax. I don't like Aeron and Olivia as a couple, I don't believe in their "love match", which makes the explicit sex scenes kind of gross. I'm not a prude, I like steamy sex scenes, but I always want to believe that the underlying emotion to all the hot throbbing need is true love. I don't believe that where Aeron and Olivia are concerned so it sort of ruined the intimate scenes for me and I found myself fast forwarding to get past them. I'm hoping this book was just a random miss where Showalter is concerned and the next book in the series will be back on the mark. If not I'm afraid this is another series I will have to discontinue.
