Great take on Pandora's Box!

I love the series so far, the characters are thought out and engaging. While I found the extreme insecurities of Death/Lucien to be over the top and Anya WAY TOO forgiving, their story worked. Looking forward to the next book.

One complaint: the book downloads in two sections (continuous playback, no need for queuing it up) and the dramatic music to introduce part 2/continue the story is annoying.

Listening just as good as reading

I have read this series by Gena Showalter a few times. It is one of my favorite by any author. She is a fabulous writer. The reading of the book by Mr. Bellmore was excellent. I enjoyed listening to his voice and the different inflections of each character. I highly recommend it to any interested in the type of book

Not the best kiss ever, but...

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

If you're into the series, you need this one. It won't make sense without it. But, if you're looking for a time filler during other authors' release dates, don't get into this series. I found it flat, compared to the other series that I read. It's nothing against the author, you just like what you like. This is ok, but not the best IMHO.

Would you recommend The Darkest Kiss to your friends? Why or why not?

I don't know. I'm really on the fence about this one. I hate saying negative things about other people's work, especially when they work so hard to get it out there. I'd recommend that they get it from the library first to test it out. If they like it, they can buy it.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I compare everyone to Holter Graham and Ray Porter. Graham would've been perfect for this one. Ever Fred Berman would've been preferable. I liked Max, just not enough to keep my interest for long.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

I don't really know. Maybe a different narrator? Maybe my expectations were too high?

Im hooked!

Completed books 1 and 2. Heading into #3. Plot variety so far. Likely you will have to go in book order. Repeat characters appear throughout each story.

Not as gripping as book 1; for me

I’m not exactly sure why but, I found my mind drifting while listening to this book. Perhaps it is because The Heroine irritated me. The book definitely had it’s exciting parts but I felt like there were some lulls in the story, also. I was interested enough in the first two books to continue with book 3.

The best one yet

This book is wonderful. I truly felt for both Lucien and Anya, for what they have to go through - Lucian and the other demon possessed warriors are on the hunt for Pandora's box if others find it they are doomed. Now Cronos, leader of the Titans, has ordered Lucian to take Anya's soul and Lucian must fight the attraction that burns between him and the goddess.
I loved this book, book 1 was a good read but it was hard to belive that they fell in love within two days, with this book it spands over 3 weeks making it more believable and is just so darn good, action, adventure, love, romantance,great characters, what more could you ask for !! VERY enjoyable listen!

Love this series! Have listened multiple times.

Because of this series, Gena Showalter is a must read for me. Damaged alpha males, romantic story lines, humor and lots of action. I am a happy listener.

Left me anticipating for more

This whole series is worth listening to. The narration is great and the individual characters very appealing. Not your sterotype "Demon" book.
