Publisher's summary

He is the guardian of hell, more monster than man. She is the goddess of oppression, more angel than woman. Together they will enter the flames to battle a dangerous horde of demon lords - and discover a passion unlike any other....

Don't miss this sizzling prequel to Gena Showalter's breathtaking paranormal series, The Lords of the Underworld. Though they carry an eternal curse, the Lords of the Underworld are irresistibly seductive - and unimaginably powerful.

Hot, Hot, Hot

Just as I thought it would be. I hope I'll see Geryon and Cadence in the series to come...

interesting short story

I started with this one before the other books written by this author. it is short and sweet, and I feel like it sets up an interesting world. I am now curious to listen to the other books. I liked the narration as well.

Was ok...

I definitely wouldn't spend a credit on this one. I listen to it with my escape membership. Really short and not as good as the others in this series. I would recommend only for fans of the series with a escape membership.

Very good prequel to the series :D

4 stars

This was a very good prequel to the LoTU series. It was an interesting take on how the Demon Lords escaped hell and why (and how) Pandora's box was created. The romance between Geryon & Kadence was intriguing. I kind of wished there was a little more time to explore it more but I will say that although the ending was a bit on the bitter-sweet side, they did end with what I'd term as a HEA. Now I'm really looking forward to reading the LoTU series. I'd recommend this story. :D

Love this series! Have listened multiple times.

Not exactly a prequel but still interesting and you do get some background info (not necessary but interesting)

A little blah

In my opinion, the narrator was kind of blah. No passion on every word, no emotion. He sounded like a robot. Maybe I used to Robert Petcott narrating IAD but an amazing series like Lords of the Underworld HAS to narrated with as much passion as IAD. I was very disappointed.

Just be prepared to cry but there is still a HEA of sorts

Well written but that ending had me looking for tissues. If your a fan of LOTU or Gena Showalter then you'll know you can't help but enjoy her writing.

I read this several years ago when it first came out but enjoyed the second time listening to it just as much as the first.
