Great Story
This is, by far, my favorite of her books. The only problem I have with the performance was Chloe's voice. I was born and raised in Kansas and I've never heard a Kansan speak with the accent she had. It sounded more like a light version of Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With the Wind.

an ok read
the narrator really did well with the men's voices however, his rendition of the women's voices was awful

the dark highlander
this book is hard to put down. keeps you wanting to listen to see what happens next. I love books that store your imagination and this one does.

Love these books!
I love these books. I read them first because I couldn't find them on audio. Except for 5 and 7. And then I listened to them. And I still need 7. Audibles took so long to get them I had to get them from elsewhere. Please get book 7 Audibles! That's one I haven't read yet!

OMG, Daegus
OMG, this book was lusty. I was angry with my husband for not being Daegus. I got hot and sizzling during parts of the books. Oh yeah the book, (clearing my head) the plot was exceptional. I would purchase this book again and even pay more. Ohhhh, lord, lord, lord.

1 of the best male readers there is
This is my favorite in the Highlander series so far, and Gigante is the best male reader I have heard thus far. Moning is one of my favorite authors too.

The complications - characters from other books part of this book - closure for some feels - that was nice very nice.
Have you listened to any of Phil Gigante’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
His male voices are HOT! Female voices are just fine especially when he has to do aloof - he does aloof WELL!

amazing series
Honestly I started backwards and read the fever series first which is primarily fantasy and secondarily romantic. I was apprehensive about highlander series because I was worried it would diminish the fever series' author in my mind but I was wrong.
In short, yes, it is a somewhat typical of romance novel with virgin women and alpha men but that shouldn't be a complaint if you're reading this type of book, it IS what you like afterall! The book series is romance on STEROIDS and it has plot development that's unique to Karen Marie Moning and I literally wasn't able to pull any of them down. The first 10 minute sucks you in entirely.
Phil Gigante is on my top three for narrators and he definitely never, ever disappoints!
The only CON is that I'm done with ALL her books and now what??? :-D write more please and faster, too.
