A haunted house in Key West.
Hannah O'Brien, who grew up in the house and now runs it as a B and B, has always had a special ability to see a pair of resident ghosts. But when a man is murdered in the alley behind her place, she's dismayed when his spirit appears, too, asking for help.
FBI agent Dallas Samson has a passionate interest in the murder, since the victim's a colleague whose death is connected to the smuggling ring known as Los Lobos - the wolves. Now Dallas is even more committed to chasing them down….
Unaware that Dallas has certain abilities of his own, Hannah calls her cousin Kelsey O'Brien, a member of the FBI's Krewe of Hunters, an elite unit of paranormal investigators. The present-day case is linked to a historical mystery involving salvagers, a curse and a sunken ship. Danger and desire bring Hannah and Dallas together, but to survive, they have to solve the mysteries of the past - and stay alive long enough to solve the crimes of the present!

I have listened to all preceeding Krewe of Hunters by Heather Graham books and found some of them to be redundant, or difficult
to believe. Even though the subject matter of ghost is a little out there, this book was well managed with obvious research done on the location. I would recommend this book even if it is the first read of the Krewe books.
My favorite style of novel are when nature and history become characters in the story. I prefer insight into myself, people and less action.
This story was just lovely! The tension between the protagonists dissolves when the parlor is filled with - well you'll just have to find out! This was a great progression for Heather Graham to make in the beautiful Florida Keyes. And perfectly, the girl "always gets her man!" Again, the perfect blend of mystery and romance laid on the fascinating backdrop of a vital piece of American history.
I have enjoyed this book narrated by Luke Daniels. He read very well with different voices for the characters. The story was interesting and quite action packed. Heather Graham's Krewe Hunter series are good.
I am a fan of this series. I know that they can be a bit predictable but they are entertaining. It also doesn't hurt that Luke Daniels is a great narrator. If you like the Krewe, get the book!
Loved this book. I enjoyed that she tied in some characters from The Bone Island Trilology because that was another great series. The story is intreging and the characters were really well developed-like you would think they were real people. Great read.
Say something about yourself!
Not sure the Bone Island Trilogy should have been mixed in with the Krewe. Almost felt like the writer is running out of new ideas.
Luke Daniels is pretty reliable as a narrator, but didn't really stay consistent with voices for Kelsey and Logan. Since he did not narrate the Bone Island Trilogy, I suppose he could not be expected to make Liam and David and Katie sound the same.
This was a reliable book to listen to, but very predictable. Had it figured out fairly quickly, but still enjoyed it.
First of all, I'm not done with the book, but so far, it's pretty good. I have one complaint though, if Ms.Graham is going to use characters from other books, she needs to remember their relationship to each other. I read all 3 Bone Island trilogy books and David and Liam Beckett are cousins NOT brothers as she has them in this book. Also, in the book she refers to O'Hara's as O'Briens a couple of times. Sorry, a bit annoying.
