Publisher's Summary

The Christmas Mail Order Bride is the first in the Holiday Mail Order Bride Series! Enjoy these sweet romances as you read about characters falling in love during some of your favorite holidays!

Sheriff Clayton Riley asked for a pair of boots for Christmas, not a mail order bride! Unfortunately for Clayton, his brother and mother figured a bride would look better on him than a new pair of boots! After all, he'd been sulking around long enough after the death of his wife, and his family decided it was time to take matters into their own hands and see to it Clayton had a very merry Christmas!

Summer James was young, she was beautiful and an impoverished orphan. Who would want such a woman? Obviously no one. For here she was, 18 and now of age to set out on her own. But New Orleans was full of men with evil intent for one such as herself, and she saw no other choice but to take the only offer for survival she could find and become a mail order bride. What she didn't count on was becoming Sheriff Clayton Riley's Christmas present!

    Story
    "Same old same old"

First there are too many expletives with God in it that is not usual in Christian books. Second, the girl is too helpless and unbelievable. 3rd, th sheriff would not let a woman hang on to him like that or kiss her hand. 4th the ending was exactly what I expected. Yawn

    "This made me smile"

The story was full of warmth and goodness. It was odd to have a male voice reading a romance novel.

"Awful, just awful - story AND narrator"
Would you try another book from Kit Morgan and/or Michael Rahhal?

    Never

    Any additional comments?

I alternated between amusement at how bad this was and irritation at my wasted time in listening. Irritation won and I stopped listening. The silence afterwards was MUCH more satisfying.

Save your money or credits by avoiding this childish and dumb plot and poor narration.
