I’m desperate and destitute when Lockwood Construction rolls into my small town with an offer too good to pass up: high wages to any able-bodied man willing to join their crew. Say no more. I throw on baggy clothes, tuck my long hair under a baseball hat, and apply for a job. Unfortunately, my half-baked idea of disguising myself as a guy is flawed from the beginning. Nicholas Hunt is the man I hate. For good reason. His opinion of me is tainted by prejudice even before my arrival at his grandmother’s estate, and my first impression of him is just as abysmal. His arrogance and icy demeanor make it clear that he’s the type of man who’s best handled at a distance. Fortunately, space shouldn’t be an issue inside this Gilded Age mansion and its lush gardens. If I stick with the servants and he keeps to his sailboat, we should hardly cross paths at all. Unfortunately, at Rosethorn, I find that all roads eventually lead to Nicholas Hunt.

YAY MORE HOLLOWS
Its no secret that I love Molly Harper. Specifically Molly Harper as read by Amanda Ronconi. I don't know what makes the combo work so well, but it does.
For me, all of these books are like coming back home.

She's back!
Molly Harper does it again. More witty repartee -- another fun read. She uses a clever way to continue to connect with past characters. It's entertaining to go back to the Hollow and catch up a little with Jane, Andrea and Jolene. Do miss Zeb, Dick and Gabriel, though.
I wonder if Ms. Harper would consider doing another "Nice Girls" book about Jane and Jamie? In my opinion, Jane is the most entertaining as she comes with her wonderful and zany family. When Jane and Zeb get together, it's generally pretty funny.
Overall though, as long as Molly Harper keeps writing, I'm a happy camper. It's such fun to find books like hers that give me good laughs consistently.
Speaking of which, I'd love to know what's happening in Grundy, Alaska these days.

Another Molly Harper Winner
I love paranormal mysteries and chick lit, do Molly Harper is in my top 10 To Read authors. The care and feeding of Stray Vampires delivers like able characters who kick ass and solve crime. What's not to love. This book is best enjoyed when you want something light and enjoyable.

What about Amanda Ronconi’s performance did you like?
She didn't over do it, and she made it more conversational. I enjoyed this book from the first word to the last. I never wanted the book to end but I'm glad it did I could use the sleep.

I really can't compare it to anything else I read, Molly Harper books are fun to read. I usually read books that have a heavier story. I read Molly's books when I want to feel good and laugh.
Which scene was your favorite?
Not sure, I liked the antics on the road most of all.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No not really, but that is only because I like to stretch out books that are lighthearted and entertaining,

It takes a special person to write this type of entertaining book and Molly Harper is that kind of writer.
