Publisher's summary

Iris Scanlon, Half-Moon Hollow's only daytime vampire concierge, knows more about the undead than she'd like. Running all their daylight errands - from letting in the plumber to picking up some chilled O neg - gives her a look at the not-so-glamorous side of vampire life. Her rules are strict; relationships with vamps are strictly business, not friendship - and certainly not anything else. But then she finds her newest client, Cal, poisoned on his kitchen floor, and only Iris can help.

Cal - who would be devastatingly sexy, if Iris allowed herself to think that way - offers Iris a hefty fee for hiding him at her place until he figures out who wants him permanently dead. Even though he's imperious, unfriendly, and doesn't seem to understand the difference between "employee" and "servant", Iris agrees, and finds herself breaking more and more of her own rules to help him - particularly those concerning nudity. Turns out what her quiet little life needed was some intrigue and romance - in the form of her very own stray vampire.

Loved it

It was good to have a different character and while this book is great as a stand alone book, it was cute to have the cross references with all Molly Harpers other books. As always a fast paced, action book with the gutsy female characters always falling into trouble but falling in love at the end. a good story is where I look for excuses to plug my headphones in. thanks again Ms Harper on a job well done.

Decent

I liked this book but it was a little generic. And the intimate scenes were weirdly placed. otherwise it was amusing.

couldn't put it down!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires to be better than the print version?

No idea have't read the print version.

What other book might you compare The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires to and why?

Without the vampire twist it could really be any romance story told a million times before but
Molly Harper spins a great story that keeps you entertained to the very end.

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No it was just a lot of fun to listen to. I laughed all the way through it.

Molly & Amanda can do no wrong!

I was very confused by the Half Moon Hollow series at first because I knew all the characters already, but when I realized I'd already read the entire Jane Jameson series and that it came first and Half Moon Hollow followed, it all made sense.

Simple Story but the trip was nice.

What did you love best about The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires?

I enjoyed the play between the two characters and the normal narrator. This series is perhaps the most consistant, and entertaining of many in the Paranormal.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Suprisingly not much.

Which scene was your favorite?

I loved the strenght of the female characters.. She wasn't about to put her sister in danger. Cared strongly for her future and saw this as a business job that takes her ona roller coaster. Who hasn't lived that sad story.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

You bite me and I will stake you in your sleep!

Any additional comments?

Well done, enjoyed. Loved the contiuation of the original Narrator who really knows how to work Molly Harper to the best. Ronconi has one of the best, underrated voices in the business. She is snark, classy and bad to the bone when her characters need it. She makes the audiobooks... but Molly Harper's paperbacks are a delight as well.
