Great ending to the trilogy!

For sheer entertainment value, this novel was a winner. After the the other two in the series, you had to wonder how it was going to end and what would be come of the Laird. Now we know.

Nice job of narrating overall (even though I admit to missing Simon Prebble's voice in this Stephanie Lauren's novel) and I enjoyed it immensely. No, it's not complicated nor should any of this be taken too seriously. It is what it is - entertaining listening as you go down the road.

I wonder what her next series is going to be about?

Great series

I was happy to find this on Audibles, I have read the other books in this series and found this one to be just as good. I like that Stephanie Laurens' female leads are smart and quick minded. It is so much fun reading her writing and the performance was done perfectly.

Enjoyable read

I always enjoy Stephanie Laurens novels. She supplies romance, wit and humor in her stories. Although Matthew Brenher is a fabulous narrator, I prefer female narrators for romance novels.

Fabulous!!!!

This book I must say was surpisingly delicious! It was an absolute delight compared to the two previous in this series. Stephanie did a great job with this book which in my eyes made up for the first two books! It also ended really well, I was so happy we got to experience the wedding and not just wonder if they happened and when. The narrator also did well enough, I would have loved Simon Pebble to have read but Antony did a good job. I would recommend anyone to read/listen to this trilogy.

Narrator lacking

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I loved the story, but the narrator is lacking. Men just down do a good job with female parts. Why don't they hire two narrators--male and female. I think one of Jayne Krentz's books is like that and I really enjoyed it. I just don't care for male narrators reading romance novels.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed the plot and the mention of characters from previous books in this series.

What didn???t you like about Matthew Brenher???s performance?

He does a poor female voice. It was hard to tell the characters apart at times.

Did The Capture of the Earl of Glencrae inspire you to do anything?

I bought Mastered by Love.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoy audiobooks and have a lot of them.

Where is Simon Prebble?

I thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy with this final book being the best, mainly because there was so much more of the Laird in this book. I would liked to have heard it narrated by Simon Prebble. I did like the soft Scottish brogue Matthew Brenher gave to the Laird in the first two books but then he never used it in the third book, even after they returned to Scotland. Even worse, the original Cynsters all sounded completely different than their original voices as established by Simon Prebble. Very disconcerting. But even so, I'll be listening to it again.

Excellent!

The reason I love this book is the way Ms . Laurens writes her love scenes. You can read the love scene without squirming. The language is beautifully written and gets the feelings across quite nicely without using some very uncomfortable words.
All of Ms. Laurens' stories are beautifully done and keeps you glued to the pages until the very end. I can really recommend all of Ms. Laurens books as great reads.
