Publisher's summary

Generations of werewolves have been secretly residing in a secluded valley a stones throw from Grundy, Alaska. So when a snooping Outsider comes to Grundy to investigate rumors of lycanthropic shenanigans in the area, the valleys pack alpha, Maggie Graham, resolves to chase him away, even if doing so takes a quick bite on the butt. What a pity that researcher Nick Thatcher turns out to be so drool-worthy, and that his kisses make Maggie want to sit up and beg. Maggie just cant seem to convince Nick to leave... and even worse, she cant convince herself to stay away from him.

Cross-species dating is problem enough for a harried alpha female, but on top of that, a rival group of werewolves is trying to move into the valley. With interpack war threatening, Maggie cant afford to be distracted. Combining romance and a career can be tough for anyone; for a werewolf in love with a human, it may be disastrous.

Not Good at all!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

No, the story is lacking and it was obvious the author had no ideas on how to make the book at least entertaining.

What was most disappointing about Molly Harper’s story?

The language. Written for people with very low English level.

Did Amanda Ronconi do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

She always does a good job; however, she was given very little inspiration to perform at her best.

Could you see The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Perhaps; after all, bad books make it into movies.

Any additional comments?

Lynn Barnes is better
than this what book shows, and, considering the quality of her prior work, I think she should do a better job other than to rush into writing
for the sake of filling space.

I have just discovered a new favorite author!

This was my first Molly Harper book and I am hooked. Amanda Ronconi did a great job with the narration and I have never laughed so much while listening to a book. I realized after I read this that there was a prior book to the series, but I never felt like I was missing part of the story, so it wasn't necessary to listen to them in order.

A rolicking good time

Ever wondered what goes on in the back woods of Alaska? Well, in real life there might not be werewolves - but in Harper's world there are complete with challenges, families and all the day to day hassles that make the community come alive. If you want a quick romp with fun characters and a plot that doesn't devolve completely around blood, violence and sex, you have come to the right author and story.

Maggie, the local alpha, doesn't welcome the presence of Nick, a "normal" academic type who wants to research wolves and the paranormal. Especially when staving off strange happenings and incursions from another pack are creating problems for her leadership.

The book is a quick, fun listen with Amanda Ronconi turning in an excellent performance.

Amusing at the very least

Molly Harper definitely has a wicked sense of humor that comes out in her books. As another reviewer remarked, she's "snarky". However, this book wasn't one of my favorites. I skipped the first in the series, so maybe going back and listening to that will make a difference. I didn't get deeply enough into the life of the pack to really feel like I know their world. There are definitely werewolf/changeling books out there that do a much better job of this. But this book wasn't bad. I did laugh out loud at several points.

Another hit by Molly Harper...

Where does The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

When Nick shuts up Maggie with a kiss.

What does Amanda Ronconi bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her enthusiam, sarcasm, down-to-earth matter of factness, laughter all in her voice.

Laughed out loud!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf to be better than the print version?

I love reading and listening, however the narrator did a fantastic job...I am glad that I listened to it rather than reading it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved both of the main characters...Maggie and Nick were great! Mo was especially funny too. They all made me laugh out loud, hard to stop listening.

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not, I wasn't sure about her at first...but once I got in to her style, she was great! I can't wait to listen to her other work.

Any additional comments?

I read this book prior to the first one and will definitely go back and listen to the first book in this series. Her characters are very likeable and very funny.

Great story about an unusual, warm family and love.

Great characters fun story. Amanda Randi Cohen did a great job of portraying all of them. Thanks Molly Harper for another great audio book.
