Publisher's summary

No safe word can protect the heart....

Infamous erotica author and accomplished dominatrix Nora Sutherlin is doing something utterly out of character: hiding. While her longtime lover, Søren - whose fetishes, if exposed, would be his ruin - is under scrutiny pending a major promotion, Nora's lying low and away from temptation in the lap of luxury.

Her host, the wealthy and uninhibited Griffin Fiske, is thrilled to have Nora stay at his country estate, especially once he meets her traveling companion. Young, inexperienced and angelically beautiful, Michael has become Nora's protégé, and this summer with Griffin is going to be his training, where the hazing never ends.

But while her flesh is willing, Nora's mind is wandering. To thoughts of Søren, her master, under investigation by a journalist with an ax to grind. And to another man from Nora's past, whose hold on her is less bruising, but whose secrets are no less painful. It's a summer that will prove the old adage: love hurts.

The Angel isn't so innocent.

As I suspected book 2 was even better than the first book. I swear Michael and Griffin and Nora are H – E – L – L on wheels. They are smoking hot together.

But it really wouldn’t be possible if it was for Soren and his ways. I love that he has his hand in it all. He and Nora’s relationship still confuses me a little and I am sure as the series goes on I will understand more.

Michael is the sweetest and most in pain teenager I wanted to hug the guy. I love how he opens up to Nora and how Nora encourages him to open up to Griffin because their friendship really blossoms and you can see that it is helping them both. I am so, so, freaking happy how this book turns out and all the twists and turns.

The reporter was getting on my nerves but I see now why she was necessary.

The narration was better than the first, but still, something was off. Again not terrible just not what I was expecting.

Loving this series!

What made the experience of listening to The Angel the most enjoyable?

Vocal tones.

Who was your favorite character and why?

New character: Michael Dimir (aka Angel).

Have you listened to any of Lilly Rhodes’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Excellent

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Want a summer job?

Any additional comments?

The Angel is the second installment in Tiffany Reisz's dark erotica series titled: Original Sinners. While the first book was all about the heroine: Nora Sutherlin, this book offers multiple point-of-views, but the one that stands out as the focal point is a new character: Michael Dimir (aka Angel).

In this installment, Ms. Reisz creates a storyline that allows readers to learn so much about the multiple main/side characters. While Nora remains my favorite among them all, she is written in a slightly different light in this book. She is immensely enjoying her sexuality during a summer assignment. Her orders are to relocate to Griffin's home for a few months and train the newest submissive: Michael (remember him?). I loved the way Nora's protectiveness shines during her time with this damaged young man. Even though Søren didn't join them, he is a focal point in a parallel storyline which allows readers to gain valuable insight into his past. Ms. Reisz ends The Angel on a tortuous cliffhanger that I CANNOT WAIT to continue! The Prince will be on my "read" list soon. So excited!!!

My favorite quote:
"Love is the open wound that you hope never heals."

I didn't think I would enjoy this

I obviously discounted the storytelling power of Ms. Reisz. Another amazing installment. Reisz is amazing. She writes literate, fascinating erotica with something for everyone. There are no cardboard secondary characters: Everyone has a story, and she draws you into the world so subtly that you only realize you're in love once the book is over. Buy it, you won't regret it.

Not for the easily offended...

This book delves into extremely taboo subjects - particularly if you are Catholic. Strangely, though most may feel it is immoral and shocking, I found it to have it's own sort of morality that ultimately reveals itself ..but not without crossing all sorts of boundaries. if you are truly fascinated with the world of BDSM, this might be your cup of tea. If not...it's a bizarre landscape. I literally cringed more than once. Lots of sexual content.

Terrible Narrator

Would you listen to The Angel again? Why?

NO, the narrator was just terrible. The Saint and The King were narrated by Elizabeth Hart and she did a fantastic job.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I can't pick just one. Eleanor, Søren and Kingsley were excellent. They are the Original Sinners.

What three words best describe Lilly Rhodes’s performance?

Ruined the audiobook.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Don't know.

Any additional comments?

Continue the series using Elizabeth Hart as narrator. I purchase audiobooks for the narration and Elizabeth Hart is an automatic buy. I have purchased over 40 J.D. Robb books narrated by Susan Ericksen...the narrator can draw you in and keep you purchasing over and over.

ALMOST AS AMAZING AS SIREN

What did you love best about The Angel?

The relationship between Griffin & Michael; Soren's cunning throughout the entire story. I grew to admire and love Soren much more in this book.

What did you like best about this story?

The twists and turns; the fact that Soren's and Nora's relationship kept me on the edge as well as Suzanne's involvement and investigation. The end was amazing.

Have you listened to any of Lilly Rhodes’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No. I think it was a bad decision to change from Aeron James to Miss Rhodes. Aeron, I think, did a much better job with the male voices, especially Soren's. I really got used to his narration in Siren and it was difficult to hear the changed voices - it was like the people had changed, at first.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both. I was kept on the edge of my seat.

Any additional comments?

Would like to see more from this autho. Would like a better match, however, between author and narrator.

LOVE NORA!!!!!!!!!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. I loved the first and loved the second cannot wait to listen to the third. The characters are very interesting, the storyline is great and though explicit it is written in a respectable manner. I was saddened by Nora and Zach in the first book but she survived and is very happy in this book.

What other book might you compare The Angel to and why?

Similar content to other s&m books but more realistic and dare I say classier....

Which character – as performed by Lilly Rhodes – was your favorite?

I just love Nora, she's the best....She is not afraid of who she is or what she is...she is very brave. I did not like the narrator's performance of Griffin, he should have sounded sexier, that is how I pictured him, otherwise she did a good job considering this is a different narrator from book 1.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was torn by Soren's decision in the end, even though they can't have it all, I am beginning to love them as a couple. They belong together.

Get everything from this author. EVERYTHING.

Tiffany Reisz and this entire series is pure gold. I’ve never been so addicted to a series in my life. I can hardly listen to any other author now, Tiffany has ruined me completely.

Griffin & Michael get their story

Nora takes Michael by the hand and begins his training as a submissive. He is a fragile young man who thinks he is a freak until Nora shows him otherwise. Michael’s training takes place at Griffin’s mansion. Meanwhile, Griffin is falling for the beautiful Michael but has been ordered not to touch him by Soren. This all takes place as Soren ordered Nora to take Michael to Griffins for the summer while Soren is being investigated by a reporter. Soren is a candidate for Bishop and a young reporter received a tip of a “conflict of interest”. The story bounces back and forth between the two storylines, but it is all connected. I liked this book even better than The Siren. The narrator was ok.

sometimes I have to wonder...

don't get me wrong, I love this series and totally recommend it. I actually think it's one of my favorite series that I've ever listened to. I liked book one but compared to 2 and 3 it was not nearly as exciting. but when it did have was a lot better narrator. so I guess you get one or the other witch kind of sucks. I guess this is life. My problem is that I listen to it on audible and I hate the narrator in comparison to book one. do you guys put cotton in your earsif it's a price thing then you should pay the difference. if it's the time management thing then spend a little extra time and find somebody better. trust me it makes a difference. Brooklyn hard people this is a big deal. I need a sexy voice with my sexy ebooks. quit ruining my sexy time. I need texting is. get it help me with my sexy time. I want sexy time. help me!!! do I have to keep continuing?
