She ran from him once....
Wild one night stands are not Ella Hayes' style, but with her confidence at rock bottom after a devastating betrayal and her painful departure from her jaguar pride, who could blame her for falling into bed with a sexy wolf? She never thought she'd see him again. And never in her craziest dreams did she expect to come face-to-face with him on her first day with the Kincaid wolf pack. Sleeping with Asher had been one of the most intense experiences of her life - but now she wonders if they could have more.
He's not letting her go again.
Tired of life as a lone wolf, shifter Asher has joined his cousin's pack. The last person he expected to see was the sexy woman who ran out on him in the middle of the most incredible night of his life. The Ella he meets now is nothing like the wild, sensual woman he let his guard down with, but he likes both sides of the complicated female. But now somebody - or something - sinister is targeting Ella, and Asher moves quickly to get her under his roof and under his protection. Keeping the sexy female safe and proving they belong together are two missions he doesn't plan to fail. Because this time, he's playing for keeps.

Love the way the shifters characters are in this series and also that the author does not drag their relationship progression out! Still love that narrators voice and the life he brings to the characters
I'm a lover of books, both read and audible.
I have read every book in this series and I have enjoyed each one. This series is a perfect example of short and sweet with just enough steam to leave you panting. Both Asher and Ella are dealing with insecurities. Ella’s insecurities come from a betrayal by her sister and Asher insecurities have made him question his worth as a mate. But when these characters meet, chemistry and instant attraction throws all insecurities out of the window for one night. At least, that’s what Ella thought until she realizes her hot one night stand, now works at her new place of employment.
The character building is this book is fine. Since it is a short story, I wasn't expecting too much but I was pleased with the development of the characters considering the length of the book. Since I have read the two previously books in this series, I’m already familiar with the world that this book takes place in. This book can be read as a standalone but it would be so much better when read with the complete series.
I adore Jeffery Kafer voice. The man is like silk chocolate, smooth, rich and ohh so sweet.
IMO, just buy the book. You can’t bet this for a quick, enjoyable read.
If you love paranormal audiobooks, you will love this one. Author Savannah Stuart has just the right mix of chemistry, sexual tension and action.
I enjoyed the whole story.
I enjoyed Jeffrey Kafer's voice. I've listened to other audio books and didn't enjoy the voice so that fact that I'm loving this series with Jeffrey's voice is more than enough for me.
I finished the book in one sitting and yes, I would listen to it again.
Tempting His Mate is a novella/short story in the Crescent Moon Series by Savannah Stuart. I really enjoyed this story and was able to listen to it in two trips to the gym. It is about Ella (a jaguar shifter) and Asher (a wolf shifter). Ella is leaving her Pride and moving to be closer to her cousin (who is mated to a Wolf) to work for her and get away from where she is. The main reason she is doing this is she feels stifled/restless where she is and needs a change – the second reason is that her ex-boyfriend and younger sister mated and didn’t have the decency to tell her before they announced it to the entire Pride – so she was blindsided by this and doesn’t want any pity. As she is traveling to her cousin’s place she stops at a Shifter Bar looking to be a little wild for once. She hooks up with a Wolf Shifter (Asher), they have an awesome night together and she takes off. Fate then steps in and Asher and Ella meet up again. Asher’s cousin is the head of the Pack that Ella is going to join. As this is a short novella I am not going to go into too much more of the story and spoil it but – Ella makes Asher work for their relationship. Throw in some missing money, breaking and entering and a renegade vampire and things do get interesting. The pace and flow of the narration on this story was great. Jeffrey Kafer does a great job with the characters. There was an easy transition from listening to reading and back again with this story. There were no noticeable mistakes or breaks in the recording.
I love books and love to get lost in the fantasy. I'm always looking for a new good story to bury myself in. :)
This was a very good story. I liked both Asher and Ella and their story was interesting and worked well for it's short length.
Ella is a Jaguar shifter and an accountant. She decided to leave her pack when her sister got mated to her Ex without even telling her first. Ella had actually been feeling restless for a while and this seemed like the perfect time to make the leap. She decides to join her cousins's pack and gets a job and a hotel owned by the Alpha.
Asher is a wolf shifter that's been around a while. He lost a mate to rogue shifters a very long time ago and spent years in the military, learning the fighting skills necessary to protect his loved ones. Asher has the power of an Alpha but doesn't want his own pack. When Asher gets tired or roaming his cousin offers him a position as head of security for his new hotel.
Asher and Ella meet up at a bar as they're both heading towards their new pack. They don't know the association they will both have and that allows Ella to loosen up enough to spend the night with Asher. They're both wowed by the night and their connection but Ella runs and Asher is left wondering why. Neither of them expected to see each other again so they're surprised to run in to each other about a week later. Ella freaks because she didn't expect to see Asher. Asher wants Ella and wants to see more of her (actually making the final decision to take the job because of her). Because of their one nighter, Ella thinks that Asher just wants something casual and she doesn't so she tries to push him away but he's not having it. It takes some work on Asher's part but he does get past her defenses. Once that happens it's pretty easy for them to come together because they just feel right together. While all this is going on there are some other issues...the main one having to do with a possible threat to Ella. Things get handled though and Ella and Asher end the story starting a sweet HEA together.
This was a very enjoyable story. Asher and Ella are both likable characters and I was happy to see them get together. The action plot was small and just enough to drive the plot further but not overtake the main story, the romance. Overall I liked this story very much. I'd recommend this story. :D
I am Tammy Payne. I am an avid book reader and I also have a book blog :)
In the top 10
Asher because he was a lone wolf who has seen the world and been in many branches of the military
Yes and he is fantastic !!
Fantastic Book by a Fantastic Author and the narration was fantastic also.
sexy, hot, romantic
He seems to give all the characters everything they need
When Asher meets up with Ella the second time
its a great story that Jeffrey Kafer manages to bring to life he got an amazing voice that works so well with these characters
I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
I actually the female lead better from book 2, but this was still a good read. It seems like all of Katie Reus books are just good. One of the best shifter books I have listen to in a while.. Nice drama, action and shifter romance... the shifter book "trifecta"
Good narration... really good actually.... Good buy, credit or sale!
I could not ever compare audio to print or ebooks. Though with that said, I love having a book read to me..and Jeffrey Kafer has an amazing voice that keeps you listening.
I would compare Tempting His Mate to any of Christine Feehan's Dark Series books. Why?? Because it keeps you riveted to the story until you are completely finished. When it is over..you are still wanting more.
No I have not listened to any other Jeffrey Kafer's performances..yet. But I do look forward to future books read by him.
My attention was upon this book, yes I did laugh. Reason being hearing Jeffrey speak more femininely..on top of swearing in that voice.
This was an amazing listening experience! I can't wait to get my hands on more of Katie Reus' books in audio form. As well as can't wait to get my hands on more of Jeffrey Kafer's performances.
