Publisher's summary

In New York Times bestselling author Emma Chase's sizzling and hilarious debut novel, Drew Evans - gorgeous, arrogant, irreverent, and irresistibly charming - meets his match in new colleague Kate Brooks.

Drew Evans is handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York's most beautiful women with just a smile. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed? He'll tell you he has the flu. But we all know that's not really true.

Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew's father's investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy's life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.

Tangled is not your mother's romance audiobook. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can’t live without.

Drew.

4 1/2 stars. A male perspective and a male narrator. Fabulously done. I loved Drew by the end. Not so much at the beginning, but I’m pretty sure that was the plan. Hilarious banter between the characters. A great enemies to friends to lovers. When he comes to her defense at the meeting with the creeper. Swoon. Definitely interested in the rest of the series

LOL POV of Male just telling his story of finding love

Liked the style of central character telling how he met the love of his life and the stupid mistakes he had made while giving the reader/listener advice not to do the same.

Have always enjoyed SB’s narrations, very easy to listen to in this causal format with just him.

I’ve have had male friends that have explained male behavior just like the central character explained in an honest straightforward manner.

Live, Love, Laugh, Cry, Swoon

This one deserves all the stars there are. The story is wonderful, the flow is perfect, the characters are ‘human’, and the narration is .......... what can I say, Sebastian York. An absolute must read for romance lovers and a must listen for audio lovers. Again, Sebastian York.

Tangled is Amazingly Funny!

For some reason, I didn't seem to like this as much as everyone else. It was a cute read, I like the way it was told from his POV.

UPDATE: I first read this book in May 2013 and for whatever reason didn't get into it the way everyone else did. I don't know if I was in some slump, distracted, sick or maybe drunk! I just recently listened to the audio version and so totally enjoyed it. I laughed out loud so many times, my husband (and other people) gave me strange looks. I am now totally in love with Drew and Kate and am changing my rating to 5+ stars!!! I have now moved on to the next books also in audio version. Ms. Chase is indeed a quite talented storyteller and the narrator, Sebastian York, is the bomb!

Swoon worthy.......

Would you consider the audio edition of Tangled to be better than the print version?

I don't own the print version or the ebook version.

Which character – as performed by Sebastian York – was your favorite?

Drew (of course).

Any additional comments?

Loved it!! Sebastian York is a perfect Drew Evans. Happily moving on to the next book.

Filed in My "Horrible" Category!

The best part of this story was the narrator - just excellent! And I enjoyed the first-person writing style from the man's perspective - very different and interesting.

That said, Drew is the most egotistical, spoiled, arrogant, self-indulgent, narcissistic, immature character I've ever run across. This is a little boy in a man's body; he's all "me, me, me, I want, I want, I want..." . His insults to Kate several times throughout the story are brutal - like a verbal assault! Absolutely the only redeeming qualities he has are a good work ethic (except for some stunts he pulls on Kate), his relationship with his small niece, and his love for his mother.

Kate was likeable and admirable with lots more depth to her character than Drew. The unfathomable mystery about her, though, is her taste in men. She's this very smart, kick-ass, disciplined professional who does a complete 180 in her personal life. A 7-year engagement? Seriously?

The ending was a lovely fantasy because nobody, especially this guy, can change that much that fast.

Excellent in just about every way

If you are not an Emma Chase fan yet, reading this book will make you one. Story line had me hooked from the beginning, and surprised how smoothly it read coming from a man's POV - you'd think a man wrote the book. I loved the main characters, and it was amazing/frustrating to see them come together, fall apart, then come together again.

Also, that Sebastian York - he could read from a phone book and I'd be drooling. Seriously.
