Publisher's summary

For Mack McKinley and his team of GhostWalker killing machines, urban warfare is an art. But despite a hard-won knowledge of the San Francisco streets, Mack knows from experience that too many things can still go wrong. Danger was just another part of the game--and now he's come face-to-face with a woman who can play just as tough. She's Jaimie, a woman with a sapphire stare so potent it can destroy a man. Years ago she and Mack had a history--volatile, erotic, and electric. Then she vanished. Now she's walked back into Mack's life, as a spy with more secrets than are good for her. Against all odds, she's hooking up with Mack one more time to take on an enemy that could destroy them both, or bring them back together in a no-holds-barred adrenaline rush.

Tom Stechschulte is amazing

The Ghostwalker series is so good, but the narration by Tom Stechschulte is absolutely the best. He truly brings the stories to life...in such an amazing, exciting, passionate way! Only he can narrate this series. Good story made great by Tom!

Another great book

I am really enjoying this series. There was a little bit of an adjustment getting to know the characters of the new team; but it didn’t take long. I really like the fact that this team grew up together, it adds depth to their relationships. I’m off to download the next book.

Street Game

This story seemed to be a gateway or introduction to a host of new characters for the ghost walker team. I must admit I had a hard time with the book and even listening to it did not bring a clearer picture. None of the characters managed any real depth which was missing and I would have appreciated.

Alpha male or Narcissistic man?

While I love the author and the series these characters have many human flaws. Reminded me of people I removed from my life. I enjoyed the story through the sensuality was repetitive and boring. I love having a complete series and this deserves a place on my shelves. That said when I read the series I sometimes skip this one.

Christine Feehan books: better read than heard

I'm a huge Feehan fan, but after listening to a second book (this one), I've decided to stick with reading her novels. The narrator's voice in this story felt intrusive, and I had a hard time determining which of the male characters he was at any given time. I much prefer reading the novels; I "see" and "hear" the story much better when it's up to my imagination.
Also, this wasn't anywhere near her best effort. Feehan is starting to put out too many cookie-cutter stories, and she uses the same phrases (ice in the veins, fire in the eyes, etc) repeatedly. I hope she gets back to writing the Dark series soon.

Flat and Uninteresting

Sorry, but I didn't make it past the third hour. The characters were dull and very, very annoying. The story was going nowhere. Tom Stechschulte was trying to lift the tone but he didn't have much to work with.

Really?

This is the first time I have ever written a review, but I had to share that the narrating is horrible. Could he be more monotoned? Cannot finish the book, cannot even get through the second chapter. The story is probably really good.

Too Much Sex

Would you try another book from Christine Feehan and/or Tom Stechschulte?

I don't think so. The hero of this book can't seem to get through an hour without sniffing after his woman... either that or pining after her for most of the chapter. Good grief! What happened to a good story without the graphic description of sex? Besides that, Ms Feehan indicates that men have no control over their sexual drive. What's up with that?

Would you ever listen to anything by Christine Feehan again?

Not if it depends on such detailed description of sexual acts. Totally unnecessary for the story-line.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Something of a good story, but I fast forwarded through more than half of the narration because I got tired of the description of the hero's attraction to a woman.
