Publisher's summary

During the rule of her murderous Dark Fae uncle, Thistle "Tricks" Periwinkle found sanctuary among the Wyr in New York. Her ethereal beauty and sparkling personality won the hearts of the public, but after her uncle's death, there are those who don't want to see her ascend to the throne.

Able to wield thunder and lightning, Wyr sentinel Tiago Black Eagle has ruled the skies for centuries. His massive build and thunderous power make him one of the Wyr's best weapons. And he's sent to protect Tricks when she's almost assassinated in Chicago. Soon, both Tiago and Tricks will fall prey to the stormy hunger that engulfs them - a passion that will shake the very foundation of all the worlds.

Better the second time

I read this story before but have to say that I enjoyed it more the second time. I think with any new series it takes time to get used to the world upon which that story is built. The author, Thea Harrison is a master world builder. But I have to admit that with my first reading of this book I hadn't really adapted to the world of this series. That's why I appreciated this story was so much the second time. Not only did the author build an interesting and captivating world but with only a few hits and scenes she was able to give us a good picture of major and secondary characters. This is a wonderful story that belongs on the read again list.

Love Tricks story

You fall in love with Tricks in Dragon Bound but she is even better in her love story with Tiago. You can't help but cheer them on.

No Sophmore Slump!

I was a little concerned going in to listening to this book after having read some of the reviews that mentioned that this book was slow to get going and that the romance factor was a real slow burn but I suppose it's all a matter of personal preference because I genuinely enjoyed this book almost as much as the first one. The first one was definitely higher on the scorch-o-meter but was still quite hot and filled with sexual tension. I loved the relationship between Trix/Ninian and Tiago. It was a real friends to lovers type scenario. I was genuinely interested in the court intrigue surrounding Ninian's coronation and thought it was quite well done. This book expanded the mythology a bit and introduced some intriguing new characters. The first book is still my favorite but this was a welcome addition.

Loving this Series

I throughly enjoyed this book. To watch the transformation and growth of this fairy princess work through the fears and return to her home where she lost All her family many years before. I enjoyed how this love story unfolded and how this brutal warrior that was sent to find her became captivated by her And lost his heart to her. Great job Thea Harrison and great narration Sophie Eastlake!

Amazing series!!

I jump the gun and read book 3 1st by mistake but it didn’t take away from this one. I enjoyed it but I felt like it was missing something. Book 1 and 3 were amazing like I jut couldn’t put them down this one was not bad like it hit all the marks the action, the hot scenes, and the romance but I felt the males in the other books were in a way more loving but overall the book was a good read.

Lots of suspense... some hot romance

This is book 2 in the Elder Races series. You don't really need to read them in order since there are barely any references from the previous book. This is the story about Thiago and Tricks. She inherited the Dark Fey throne and someone is out to impede her from becoming the Queen. That's why Thiago goes after her to defend her. I liked this book but it felt kind of long. The romance takes quite a long time to develop and I found myself saying: "do it already darn it!". This story has more suspense than romance and I liked the fact that it was not predictable. I never predicted who the bad guy is. Overall I liked this book and will most likely get the third one in the series but it is not as hot and romantic as the first book. The narrator does a nice job with the different characters although Minion's voice (Tricks) is a little annoying.

Tiago - a Hot Black Eagle for Everyone

This is book 2 in the series, but you don't really need to read book 1 first to enjoy this one. Tiago Black Eagle ("Thunderbird") has ruled the skys with lightening and thunder for centuries. He is big, strong and scares most people on sight. "Tricks" is the Heir to the Dark Fea thrown. Tricks is very pixie, sweet, upbreat and kind person who needs protection. Someone is trying to kill Tricks, so Tiago travels with her back to her homeland to protect her. There is lots of suspense - I did not figure out who the bad guy was until the end. This book had it all - hot sex, suspense, romance and strong characters that you really liked. I can't wait to read book #3!

Love like no other

If you could sum up Storm's Heart in three words, what would they be?

I'm not good at expressing my feelings! This book has captured my thoughts and taken me to a world that I could thrive in!

Who was your favorite character and why?

The storm King, he took what he wanted and stood by his word!

Good story , narrate needs to pick up the pace

Narrator speaks tooooo slow. Had to turn it to speed talking. Good story but the draggyness of her speaking made me feel impatient. Looking forward though to rest of series (just on a faster speed).
