Publisher's summary

Gryphons flying past skyscrapers? Wizards battling it out in coffeehouses? Women riding motorcycles with large swords strapped to their backs? All normal sights since the Great Collision happened twenty-six years ago.

Well, not normal for everyone. Larissa Miller may have been born after the Great Collision, but as a history teacher who lives in the human-only city, she has never come into contact with any other race or species, nor has she wanted to. Her life is as ordinary as it gets - that is, until one day she walks out of her apartment and is attacked by a mob of Zombies, only to be saved by a Gargoyle.

Gargoyles trust no one outside their Clan, but due to a cryptic prophecy, Terak, leader of the Gargoyles, has been watching over the human woman for months. While he can find no reason why the woman has been singled out, something about her stirs every protective instinct within him. When the attack confirms that the threats against her exist and are real, he convinces Larissa that though their races have never been allies, the best chance of discovering why she has been brought into his world is by working together.

In the course of their investigation Terak becomes entranced by his little human. But when he discovers why Necromancers want her and the great reward that awaits him if he betrays her, he must choose between the welfare of his Clan and not only Larissa's life, but the fate of this New Realm as well.

Rich Detail and Talented Narrator!

Everything was wonderful! I highly recommend if you enjoy magic, steamy intimate scenes and a alpha male! The narrator was able to not only convey the emotions of the well written characters but also have distinct voices for each. The only real negative for me was how quickly the end of the book was wrapped up. The author could have written a more in-depth finale but instead a sex scene was added. Still a good ending, just a wee rushed. I recommend 8.5/10

Unique story

I liked this book! I've never read anything exactly like it. I felt like there was a good balance between the story and the romance. I liked the portrayal of the male main character as a leader.

A very silly book

I don't know why I chose this book as it became very obvious early on that it wasn't my cup of tea. It was a very silly romance novel with every race from the fantasy genre except fairies I think. There funny parts but the sex was too romance novel for me. The narrator gave her all which showed in her over pronunciation of words. The characters were very cartoonish but it fit with the silliness of the book. While it want for me, I'm sure there is an audience for this style of book.

INTERESTING & DIVERSE STORY OF LAW OF ATTRACTION.

This is a nice story. I love the diverse characters that the writer placed in the story.. BRAVO.. The young lady in the center of the story is a anglo virgin ( same old same old) but, the environment she was born in is interesting. Your world mixed with magic world. I enjoyed the story. the later portion of the story is the best. The ending is action packed. Having a male gargoyle as the love interest.. Grey hard skin with a soft heart.. The wrapping of his wings around her was soooo sweet & tender.. I wonder if Danielle Monsch will be writing more about gargolyes..

Gargoyles are awesome!!!

I’ve had this book on my kindle for years, it got buried in the madness that is my TBR but, I found it on audible and was sold so fast to listen to it now. Tavia Gilbert is simply amazing as a narrator. She made this book come to life for me.

Gargoyles are frigging wicked so when you meet Terak you know things are about to get hot and dirty. He’s got the alpha in him but he has a sweet side that I loved to get to see it. His human charge, Larissa is about to give him a run for him money. She’s a spunky little history teacher that has all kinds of questions. Questions that start to link together in the chaos that soon becomes her life.

Tarek and his clan, along with the guild and a few others are all on a journey to find out just what makes this human so dang special.

Good Start

I love Paranormal Books & I also love reading about more then just VAMPIRES, WEREWOLVES & GHOSTS so reading about a Mage, Gargoyle, & Shield Maiden was fun! Tavia Gilbert is a NARRATOR I've loved for Awhile now so I was pleasantly surprised to see she was the NARRATOR! GREAT JOB ON ALL PARTS!!

Enjoyed this unique story

This story was a new idea from what I have seen. I have read it twice and now listened to it. Looking forward to more from this author .
I felt the reader could have better voices for some of the female characters. Hated the voice for the elf and oracle. Other than that, she was easy to listen to.

Slow start for me.

What made the experience of listening to Stone Guardian the most enjoyable?

Tavia Gilbert's performance.

Any additional comments?

This book had a slow start for me. I enjoyed the last quarter of the book best. It is a very interesting story and I think it has real potential.

If you want a fast talking news reporter to be your narrator then this is your book

The story was ok. Very formula fiction for this genre but the narrator was terrible. She seriously sounds like a news reporter. Very fast talking and and adds ‘uh’ to the ends of things. Like “the look of his wings-uh”. Couldn’t handle it. Half the enjoyment of an audiobook is how the narrator brings it to life.
