Just okay.

I really like Nalini Singh's Archangel series and assumed this one would be just as good. This book was a little to sci-fi for my taste. It is hard to relate to the characters and the story line really drags in several places. I doubt I will be buying any more books from this series unless I desperate for something to listen to. If you like sci-fi though, this may be worth a listen.

Holy shit!

Awesome! I was hooked the entire time.. the main characters of this book are by far my favorite. The rest of the series is awesome but you MUST read this one before jumping to any other one. Kiss of snow would be my second favorite.

Fast and fun

What did you love best about Slave to Sensation?

This book sucked me in with the first chapter - very important to me! It kept my attention right away and I listened to the whole book in less than 48 hours - even with work interfering in my listening time!! Good story line and I love that there are 10 other books that follow this first one!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Both of the main characters - Sasha and Lucas - because it is the story of them!

Which character – as performed by Angela Dawe – was your favorite?

I think Lucas Hunter - even though it was performed by a female voice was my favorite because you could hear the genuine caring in the voice for Sasha.

Panthers, Wolves and Psy....Oh My

So much has been written about this series I was expecting it to be great. It was good, left me with a curiosity to see where the story goes from here.

Amazing series

Fantastic new idea!! I love the use Psy power to create difficulties for the character as it has not been over done. Nalini has created a world that is interesting and very believable. Her characters inspire emotions and captivates the reader or listener. I can hardly wait for each new installment. Slave to Sensation sets up a world for her characters to use and makes the plot original but doable. Facing the greater use of the brain with all of its inherant problems, heros and heroines alike stuggle to find the most important emotion, love.

The plot was good, the premise not so much

First off, Ms. Dawe did a splendid reading, neither too fast nor too slow, with a strength to her voice that made it very pleasant to listen to.

Story wise, the premise is a little out there. The shifters, "Changelings" as they're called in the book, are satisfyingly themselves, but the Psys are rather freakishly outre. The changelings at least are a unique and distinct group, with diverse motives and individual natures in line with those one would find closer to the primitive aspects of nature.

The Psys, on the other hand, have been envisioned as a nearly robotic race, and that just doesn't mesh well with the concept of a psychic being, as entwined as "psychic" and "psyche" are.

Putting the premise aside, the plot developed well, the writing hit just that right tone between dramatic and melodrama, and, as I mentioned, Ms. Dawe made a very pleasant reader.

I liked the premise of the book

The book could of stood alone. And been very good. Though the author decided to muddy up the water with smut. It's too bad
