Publisher's summary

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Nora Roberts cordially invites you to meet childhood friends Parker, Emma, Laurel, and Mac — the founders of Vows, one of Connecticut’s premier wedding planning companies.

Laurel McBane has always relied on her friends for support, especially when her dream of attending culinary school was almost ruined by her parents’ financial problems. Now Laurel is repaying the kindness of her friends by creating extravagantly luscious tiers of cakes and other confectionary delights that add the perfect touch to their clients’ weddings.

As for romance, Laurel believes in it — in theory. But she’s too low-key to appreciate all the luxuries that other women seem to long for. What she does appreciate is a strong, intelligent man, a man just like Parker’s older brother, Delaney Brown, on whom Laurel has had a mega-crush since childhood.

But some infatuations last longer than others, and Laurel is convinced that the Ivy League lawyer is still out of her reach. Plus, Del is too protective of Laurel to ever cross the line with her, or so she thinks. When Laurel’s quicksilver moods get the better of her — leading to an angry, hot, altogether mind-blowing kiss with Del — she’ll have to quiet the doubts in her mind to turn a moment of passion into forever….

Critic reviews

"Passion erupts, but will they be able to make it last? Laurel's tart fairy tale romance offers few surprises, but it's impossible to deny Roberts's flair for sketching likable couples." ( Publishers Weekly)

I savored every moment

I really enjoyed the third book in the bride quartet series. Angela Dawe brought Laurel and Del's story to life in such a wonderful way. Don't miss it!

Fantastic!

This may be my favorite of the series so far. Fresh, funny, and sweet. Sets the stage nicely for the fourth and final installment. Nobody tells a story quite like Nora! Well worth the credit.

.

I struggled to get through this one, Laurel just basically sat in a cardboard box on a shelf, Dell waltzes in and falls for her when told to and that's it. There wasn't any of the drama, interest or even intrigue

Little weaker than the others

I love the series! Love the characters and love the friendship but this has to be the weakest out of the four. It was just blah. The introduction into the romance between the long time friends was ho hum...I was suprised in the lack of spice & that Laural was so darn whiny. That being said, don't skip this one because if you're like me you really need to experience the entire series to get closure.

Wonderful narrator, predictable story

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

add a little something unpredictable

What about Angela Dawe’s performance did you like?

She really does an amazing job with different voices for different characters. I don't know how she keeps them straight!

Do you think Savor the Moment needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

It's part of a quartet... there is another book

Very flat, but great ending

This book was very flat. The buildup to the romance was too unemotional, I expected Del to be a bit more worked up about changing his relationship with Laurel (especially after his reaction to Jack and Emma). ALSO: this, like Bed of Roses had almost more discussion between friends about the sex and relationship than there was any actual writing about Del/Laurel's relationship.
HOWEVER: the ending is one of the best I've read in a while. It was a bit too quick and sudden (maybe because we were not reading Del's mind enough in the last few chapters) but really romantic.

Enjoyable but...

the story was not as good as the first two in this series. There wasn't enough development of the relationship. There were so many opportunities to "liven up" the story.
