Better than Book #1

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

good series, book #1 took too much of the story setting the stage for this series. #2 gets into the story solid.

strong heroine and Eric is such a hunk

she has a great male's voice which helps this series a great deal

When Micah tells his sister they "hurt him" "really hurt him"

HOT AWAKENING!

I thought Savage Awakening is just as good if not better than Primal Law in a lot of ways! I really liked how Aric isn't whom he seemed in the first book...he so much more!

As Aric struggles with blaming himself for getting his team in trouble those six months ago, he ends up finding his mate in the sister of one of his fellow pack members...a member that was abducted because of him. Knowing how arrogent Aric was in the first one, I was really surprised to see how tender and unselfish he was in here. The emotion and honesty he shows are truly honorable...and he is definitely a favorite of mine now!

While I like Kirsten Potter a lot, I still like her better with the highlander books I have listened to. In here, I often got confused between the characters, not sure who was talking to who because she doesn't really change voices much. Despite that however, the steamy scenes, which are many :) , were well done!

The characters in this series are only getting better...and I really look forward to the next book, Black Moon, that focuses on Kalen. He goes through a lot in this book, and I am really anxious to see what happens next.

another great installment

loved the heroine. hero a bit too broody for me. I hope almost dying before claiming your mate doesn't become a pattern with these stories. it's getting tiresome. I find myself yelling at my phone saying can't you guys talk honestly to each other. but then we wouldn't have all the drama... still worth the read!!

Hot hot hot!

Just as good as the 1st one! By far one of the sexiest books I have read yet. I enjoy the narrator and the characters are great. No boring descriptions of the landscape and sh*t...but very descriptive in other ways. I recommend this book :)

Makes me want to get bitten by these wolves!!

Would you listen to Savage Awakening again? Why?

Absolutely!! I didn't think the second book could get any better than the first and it almost exceeded it! I loved every moment. The characters are all so very interesting to me. I also love the humor, I found myself laughing out loud...not good when you're in a public place by yourself...anyway, I love Aric, I love the whole Alpha Pack is just delicious.

Who was your favorite character and why?

In this book, Aric is my favorite, but in the last book Jacks was, so I guess it's whomever the story is focused on. I actually really like Cereal (sp?)--the fey prince, he was a standout character in both the first and this book as well. I like who he seems to be, his innocence is really cute.

What does Kirsten Potter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She has phenomenal narration skills! She really gets into the characters and literally gives them life, it's awesome.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, and I almost did, but I really needed to go to sleep so I could go to work the next day ;-)

Any additional comments?

Great book, although I'm concerned about the reviews I've read for the next one..Black Moon...I'll probably buy it anyway because Kalen has also become a favorite character.

Wolf heat

There have been many books written about wolf shifters in the past couple of years. The Alpha pack is different in their paramilitary focus. The combination of a firestarter and a LA cop make this mating really hot.

I encourage you to give this series a try

I am loving this series! The narration is great. She brings out the emotions that the characters are feeling through her voice.
Aric gets to discover his mate but he may be too stupid and overwhelmed with guilt. More is discovered about what the black creatures are that killed half of alpha team 6 months previously.

I liked it!

Not a bad storyline. Worth the time. Great narration. Hope there is another series.

5 Savage Awakening Stars

I love Savage aka Aric! Now normally I would be like dude really, really you’re going to be all macho man and not give all the facts. Butttttt on the other hand I respect his choice.

Ok so lets’ back track a little Aric was taken and experimented on, and that was freaking HORRIBLE! But him being taken lead them to Micah and not to get all woo woo or anything but if he hadn’t been then one they wouldn’t have found Micah as they did or have his sister come to the compound.

So all things happen as they are supposed to, Rowan is freaking bad a – s – s and I freaking loved that about her! She really doesn’t care what people think of her she is there to help save her bro no matter what, and her job means a lot. She isn’t willing to compromise who she is for anyone. But she totally would for a wolf if he would just speak his dang mind!

I really enjoyed this dynamic that he wants to protect her and didn’t want to put pressure on her but here come my DUDE speech … really, really???? No macho man stuff it doesn’t do anyone any good. ;)

Really am digging this narrator she can do male voices pretty well. I love how you can feel her words that’s a gift.
