Alisha Knight is a down-to-earth woman who just so happens to have her sights set on the beta of a large werewolf pack. But despite the way her body reacts to his powerful presence, bitter experience has shown her that a wolf pack is no place for a human girl.
As his alpha's trusted second-in-command, Phil McKenna takes his responsibilities seriously, even when that means taking disobedient females over his knee for an attitude adjustment. Though he is smitten with Alisha, the feisty little human friend of his alpha's mate, humans and wolves don't usually mix well, and her presence could easily put both her and the pack in danger.
Yet try as he might, Phil can't keep his hands off Alisha. His fearsome urge to mark her, claim her, and dominate her completely is only increased when her defiant attitude earns her a hard, bare-bottom spanking. But when the pack is attacked by a cunning, vicious enemy and Alisha's life is put in grave peril, Phil must decide if he is ready to cast aside caution and take her as his mate.
Publisher's Note: Rules of the Pack is the sequel to Marked by the Alpha. It is an erotic romance novel that includes spankings, sexual scenes, and more. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.

Hello I am addicted to Audible!!! The addiction is real and I need help...more credits that is.....
I was given this book in return for my honest unbiased opinion. I really liked this book but the spanking of the females didn't do it for me. Overall I did enjoy the book
Addicted to any type of Romance/Erotica audio books.
The story was enjoyable, nothing deep or exciting , just a decent story lacking a few things for me to be able to say it was a great book. The story jumps right into this world without much building or explaining, I'm guessing there was a story before this one? I love shifter books so I grabbed this as soon as the audiobook was released. The shifter world the author created was just ok, the only thing different in this story from all other shifter books was that the males of the pack spanked the females to keep them in line and I wasn't a fan of that because throughout the book it felt like the women were to be complacent and I prefer a strong female character. The sex in this book was hot and not overpowering of the story which was a nice change in shifter books. All in all I liked the story I just didn't love it.
Now the narration..... YEAH I LOVED THE NARRATION! This was my 2nd Aaron Shedlock audio and he is a great narrator! I enjoy his deep, calm, quiet voice and his female voices aren't over the top which I love. He made this book so much better for me.
I am addicted to audiobooks. It makes my 1 hour (each way) commute go by without me becoming an agressive driver. lol
I was given this book free for an honest review. I have to admit that this was not one of my favorite books to listen to. Although the story was good and the characters were good, I wasn't too excited about the spanking. Spanking is humiliating and the author could have come up some other kind of "attitude adjustment" like water boarding. Probably won't read the other book unless I have exhausted my other reading material.
The story has potential but the women in the story are too whiny and full of childish behavior for my taste. the narrator did a good job. This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.”
Always in search of my next book boyfriend. <3
This audio is a quick, easy listen. If you are in need of a shifter fix then this is a good way to go. For me I needed a bit more in terms of pack life other than how females are kept in line, too much focus was on the "spanking" aspect. I do not mind that in books at all, in fact I think it's hot! Being a shifter book there are plenty of sexy scenes. As for the narration, Aaron did an amazing job with the voices. I enjoyed listening to him and will continue to listen to his work.

Love books. Can get lost in them and spend hours there.
I like this book and the narrator was great. I wish it would have been more details around the shifter world it seemed a little bit off I must have missed the first book.

If someone was looking for a shifter book this would be one of my first choices. It has a unique story line and a very interesting pack of shifters.
I like the caring, empathetic and physical nature of the wolves in this pack. So often wolves in stories are cold, and distant to everyone except their mates. Ms. Raine's wolves understand the need for physical touch and not just sexual. They are warm and affectionate with each other and use touch to express their emotions.
The narrator did a wonderful job of bringing the story to life with his voice. I could listen to him all day.

The narrator had a great voice and did nice variations on the male voices and nicely with the women. This was probably the best part. The story wasn't bad and was well written, I just never felt invested in the characters.
I found the relationship of all those in the pack uninspiring. I've read different shifter or such books that I thought had better make up within the pack. Yes the alpha ruled and the beta second, but I didn't get the need to constantly punishment/reprimanding do the females...and the females 'needing it' to feel secure. I didn't get that there were loving relationships, just the females must respect all the males...and if the males were punishing the females their show of affection boarded on sex...Just didn't care for it.
Books are the doors to other places. READ!!!!
I love shifter books and i was hoping this would be another i could add to the series i read. The story was really good and the narration was really great. However, i did not like all the spanking for keeping the women in line. This reminds me of those old I Love Lucy reruns where Ricky would spank Lucy. I am not a fan of this type of punishment for grown women; This took away from the story for me. I could understand respecting the Alpha and the Beta but spanking grown people? Really? I want to like the book but this spanking thing is big hang up for me. I hope maybe in the future books a better reprimand can be given. I received this book free for an honest review.
Yes, get rid of all of the "Spankings".
He is Hot..
Phil, the male lead, is the beta enforcer of a werewolf pack is distracted by Alisha, the female lead and a human amongst a pack of wolves.
She grew up knowing about werewolves therefore she has no issue with spending time around them.
Alisha and Phil both fought their attraction to each other.
This story moved at a decent pace and all of the characters were interesting.
Overall, the story was an ok read but.. I did not like the constant "spankings" delivered by the males throughout the story line.
Its just not my thing, it happened too much, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who had an issue with it.
Aaron Shedlock did really well with the narration.

"Not much of a story."
I really did not enjoy this story. This book reads a lot like a series of spanking episodes padded by a poorly constructed story. The women are week and spineless and the men seem to function under any excuse to spank. That said, the book is narrated really well.
