Some men are born responsible; some men have responsibility thrust upon them. Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, just got the motherlode of all responsibility dumped in his regal lap. He’s not handling it well.
Hoping to help her grandson rise to the occasion, Queen Lenora agrees to give him "space" - but while the Queen's away, the Prince will play. After a chance meeting with an American television producer, Henry finally makes a decision all on his own:
Welcome to Matched: Royal Edition.
A reality TV dating game show featuring twenty of the world's most beautiful blue bloods, all gathered in the same castle. Only one will win the diamond tiara; only one will capture the handsome prince's heart. While Henry revels in the sexy, raunchy antics of the contestants as they fight for his affection, it's the quiet, bespectacled girl in the corner - with the voice of an angel and a body that would tempt a saint - who catches his eye. The more Henry gets to know Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum, the more enamored he becomes of her simple beauty, her strength, her kind spirit...and her naughty sense of humor.
But Rome wasn't built in a day, and irresponsible royals aren't reformed overnight. As he endeavors to right his wrongs, words take on new meanings for the dashing Prince. Words like duty, honor, and, most of all, love.

....From the mixed reviews, I was a little concerned I wasn't going to enjoy this story as much as I did book one (which I loved.) But I guess I'm a sucker for royalty, a hot prince, and a fairy tale ending because I really liked Royally Matched!
I enjoyed the reality TV spin, but didn't really care for time the characters had to spend apart. I love stories where the characters bring out the best in each other, and Henry and Sarah definitely brought out the best in each other. Knowing these characters had to take the necessary steps to "walk the talk" to not only improve themselves, but improve so they could one day be the leaders they were meant to be, softened the blow from them being apart.
Shane East and Andi Arndt's performance was flawless! I loved how they portrayed the characters, and their attitudes. The accents were perfect, and just enough to give the audio an authentic feel.
A great story, paired with two very talented narrators made this an awesome audio experience. I loved the story, well up until the time the characters spent apart, which is the reason for the overall four stars. Well worth the time and credit.
This audiobook was a surprise for me, in that I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. The story is about a reluctant heir to the throne (whose older brother abdicated the throne for love) and a shy, bookish young noblewoman who never expected to fall in love. The prince, Henry, sent off by his grandmother the queen, has what he thinks is a brilliant idea to relieve his boredom. He solicits a TV matchmaking show to film there, and she comes along with her sister just as a chaperone. Henry sees Sarah on the first day and is fascinated by her. Every day that passes he becomes deeper involved with his feelings, but the show must go on as it were. There are moments of humor and surprisingly sweet romance. Narration was superb, and Andi Arndt does an amazing job of pulling off an English accent!
Henry never wanted to be king, but when his brother decided to abdicate the throne and marry for love Henry is thrust into the grown-up world of what it means to be the next king. He must find his way to the throne, in a dignified and Royal Manor. His journey won't be easy as he's never taken his role as a prince seriously. Henry decides to join a reality dating show, there he needs Sarah who tagged along with her sister who happens to be one of the contestants vying for the princes attention. Their Journey is filled with unsolicited banter and stark realization's of what's important in one's life. Emma Chase has once again given us the reader a truly enjoyable host of characters to love!
Writer of romantic suspense novels and avid reader of everything.
I don't mind stories that use tropes as part of their tale. The royally series has done that for sure, but in a most enjoyable way.
I was anxious to have Henry's story as I was so angry at Nicholas at the end of the first book. It did not let me down.
Even though you knew what was going to happen as the story began to unfold, I still hung to every word.
These two narrators are some of my favorites.
I am obsessed with audio books! My favorite genre is erotica and romance -- there's just not enough hours in the day to enjoy ...
I like this book and I even like that it seemed to be sending a message -- "Nothing in life worth having is easy, not even for the rich, famous and royal. This story was funny, witty and humorous throughout most of the book and there were even moments where it was endearing. I really liked that all the characters had something significant to add to the overall story. I wish the story had ended with a bit more POW!
The narrators were amazing! They even energized the last few chapters that seemed to drag a bit.
Definitely worth the credit.
This book was great, I adore prince Henry and his personality! Sarah however completely stole the show. Can't wait to see what happens next with the story! The beyonce reference so funny!!! I laughed put loud a couple times and cried so it was a very great book- all the feels!!
Love this series! Great narration and story. I love how the happy ever after wasn't rushed as the characters were strengthened even more towards the end.
Voracious Audiobook fanatic that enjoys a wide variety of books. Some of my favorite genres are- Sci-fi, Espionage, Romance, and Mystery.
Really enjoyed the story, but it was not my favorite ending. I felt a few storylines that were built up during the book were just sort of left hanging or ignored completely.
"A fabulous book 2 !!"
Henry's book did not disappoint in fact I think I loved it even more than book1 😀
Henry and Sarah's story made me laugh, sigh, blush and cry !! It was sexy and romantic with a wicked sense of humour😂 both narrators were great and well suited the characters Andi Arndt is a favourite ! 5stars Emma 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
"Funny, romantic, sexy and sweet"
Move over Sebastian Yorke, there's a new kid in town and my oh my Shane East has the most amazing voice!
Putting aside the amazing narrators (Andi Arndt) is great as usual. The story is wonderful, the characters have substance, its unpredictable, it's sweet and romantic and funny and you don't want it to end, really hope there is a sequel for this couple because I want to know what's in store for them
