This novella is not a standalone. Please listen to Sacrificed to the Dragon and Seducing the Dragon first.
After more than a year, Melanie Hall-MacLeod finally releases her book about dragon-shifters. Everything seems peaceful until her first public appearance.
Tristan wants nothing more than to whisk his mate and two children off to safety, but Mel refuses to hide. As the danger increases and threatens his new family, Tristan battles the need to protect his mate with the need to make her happy.
Melanie is determined to change the future for her children and all dragon-shifters in the UK. Is it even possible? Or, will they be forced into hiding for the rest of their lives?

The narrator is able to do different voices for each character and is very talented in keeping me engrossed with in the story.
Tristan because he is a big growly dragonman
Yes and it was right on par with the rest of them. He is a very talented narrator.
No not really I do enjoy the authors writing so it all kept me captivated.
Loved this novella, it was good getting to see Melanie and Tristan at the fore front again and to see how they're getting on with the twins! I've also been looking forward to seeing what difference Mel's book makes, it certainly got mixed reactions but hopefully it's all going to lead to a much better future for the dragons. There was even a hint at a future possible match which I hope will mean another Stonefire Dragons book! I am looking forward to the first Lochguard Dragons book featuring Finn and Tristan's sister Arabella! I hope we find out more about the difference Melanie's book makes too!
This is just another book in the series that is phenomenal! The characters that Jessie Donovan has created are believable. You start to see the tender caring way that the Stone-fire Dragon-men care for their human mates. I also see a different side to Evie. I never thought she was so opinionated.
When Melanie gave her speech about her book. She was so sincere and caring.
Yes I have. He has a great presence on the audio tracks.
Yes, however it did take two days.
I'm in love with this series! I just wish this book was longer:( can't wait for the next book!! I'm preordering it now! I love how well the narrator brings this series to life!
My name is Irene and I'm a lifelong bookaholic. A few years ago, I started adding audiobooks and I'm so happy I joined Audible in 2015 :-))
This is actually novella-length and a stepping stone between books 2 & 4. If you're following the series, you'll want to read this, as it sets the stage for the next book about Arabella & Finley. There is also the hint of a possible story with Kai & the reporter. As always, Davies' narration is perfect for the characters and series.
great story and great narration. I got this book on sale however I think you would even be worth the full price .
I love this series and wish the new books would show up more quickly! The world building is so intriguing and the characters are frequently funny. A+
