Publisher's summary

In the long-awaited conclusion to the Thoughtless trilogy, Kellan’s band hits it big and he and Kiera find themselves pushed to their limits…can love survive when life gets reckless?

When Kellan’s band gains stardom, Kiera and Kellan’s relationship is put to the ultimate test. Can their love for each other withstand the constant pressure of superstardom? The friendships they’ve formed, the new family they’ve found, and the history they’ve forged will all play a part in helping them navigate the turbulent waters of the band’s exploding popularity. A greedy executive hell-bent on success, a declining pop star looking for an edge, and a media circus that twists lies into truths are just some of the obstacles the lovers will have to overcome if they are going to remain together. Fame comes with a price - but will it cost Kiera and Kellan everything?

The end of the story :(

There are still a few frustrating moments, but all in all they have really grown up. There is a lot of music industry drama but mostly things are pretty good. There are a few people trying to tear Kellan and Kiera apart but they are trying to just hold it together!

A love for the mases.

How often do you see and all Encompassing love like this? How often do we truly find our soul mates? Anyone who has a love like this is insanely lucky. It’s what we all wish for. It’s what we all look for even when we don’t realize it.

Smooth Narration, Satisfying Conclusion

This is the first trilogy I’ve read in awhile where the writing improves with each book and the ending left me totally satisfied. I’ll miss the characters but I’m pleased with the series outcome.

This series centers on a regular girl in love with a budding rock star. Where we left off in the last book, Kiera graduated college and is now free to go on tour with Kellan and the D-Bags, and the band is on the verge of hitting it big. With fame comes new problems, and not everyone is on Team KK. Fans, record executives, the media, and other celebrity types all want a piece of the red-hot Kellan Kyle. Do Kiera and Kellan have what it takes to go the distance or will their relationship become a rock and roll casualty?

The Thoughtless series has drama and steam aplenty. And Stephens has a knack for hard-hitting emotional scenes. I was plenty nervous about what crisis our couple would face in the final chapter, and I even had to read spoilers because I didn’t trust that a HEA was a done deal. Let’s face it; Stephens likes to put her characters through the ringer. And in Reckless, there are some scary moments and surprises that kept me guessing throughout. The pacing is good, and Stephens balances the romance, music career, and other character’s storylines well, tying up loose ends.

One thing that made me pleasantly surprised in this installment was the character development. In the first two books Kiera shows poor judgment to say the least and makes the same mistakes over and over. In Reckless, Kiera shows a lot of growth and maturity and I liked her so much more. But it’s not just Kiera that rises to the challenge. Griffin and Anna’s progress stands out, Denny evolves, and Kellan is as swoon worthy as ever.

I listened to the audiobook, read by Rebekkah Ross. Ross’s narration is very consistent and easy to listen to. With these long books the time flies in part because of the addictive story but also because of the smooth narration. Ross will always be the voice of Kiera to me, and her voice is more confident as Kiera learns to have faith in herself. She gives distinct voices to varying age ranges, different accents, and male and female voices with ease. I never had trouble differentiating the characters. It’s one of those audiobooks that you make up chores to complete so you can keep listening.

If you like stories with romance and angst, and rock stars, give the Thoughtless series a try.

Absolutely the best book I have ever read! EVER!

This was my favorite book in the Thoughtless series. I wanted it to go on forever. I lost myself in this book and loved the characters as if they were real people. I did not want this book to end!!! But the ending was wonderful and I am very happy to say that it left a lot of openings for future books. Well at least I hope! I want to read more of these characters!!!! Absolutely beautiful writing!!!!!! Thank you, S.C. Stephens!

It summed it up!

I feel I have to give this book 4 stars and not 5 because Thoughtless is the only 5 in this series, but any other series this book would have been a 5...you just started too good SC! I feel like I know Kiera and Kellan...much like I knew Anna and Christian, but unlike 50, this was a story I could see happening....small town girl follows a guy cross country and then falls for the dreamy rock God...I think this kind of story has actually happened, which makes it charming.

I don't condone cheating, but I understand the concept of finding your other half and no matter how moral you want to be about it what can you really do when that happens?

The series was amazing, this book cleaned up the loose ending on everyone who was practically ever mentioned in the series...and it wrapped it up nicely.

If you read the other 2...even if you didn't like number 2 that well, this is a must read.

A little long winded.

If you could sum up Reckless in three words, what would they be?

Long winded, but good.

Which character – as performed by Rebekkah Ross – was your favorite?

Kellen - she did a really good job giving a different voice to each character.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. I purposely listened to it in the car driving to and from work each day.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book. I picked it b/c it was on my TBR list, but there are so many I thought I would knock it off by listening to it instead of reading. Rebekkah Ross did an excellent job on all three books in the series. The one negative - I really felt that the book could have had a quarter of it removed and still have the exact same story. It is a long book/audiobook. I really felt that the author got long winded in writing and it could have been edited down and still have had an awesome story. I would recommend the book/audiobook to others.

KELLAN KYLE!!!

Would you listen to Reckless again? Why?

This is the best one of the series, I loved every minute of it. I listened and read this one, becuase I was so excited that it was fianally out. This is one that I can read or listen to over and over again

What was one of the most memorable moments of Reckless?

Oh let's see there were so many, but I have 2 ok 3, the coming clean chapter I was so ready for that to happen, the wedding scene and then the epilouge!!!!!! So those are my top 3 moments.

Which scene was your favorite?

The vows it was so heart warming oh and Kellan and a Baby. Oh how life has become full circle for him.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The hospital when Kellan could really see and fell just how much he truly was loved. That was so heart warming. I can't even imagine how you would view yourself growing up knowing you weren't loved by your parents. So if they didn't love you how could anyone else. But when everyone was there for him and came from all over just for him to make sure he was ok. Oh I think I will cry just thinking about it.

Any additional comments?

This was defiently a series you will want to fall in love with. I heart Kellan Kyle. Also it was great to see how Keira has grown with each book, yes she can be annoying at times, but you have to understand she had to grow she is young. And some ppl just isnt born with that confidence they have to work at it. That is why her and Kellan's union was meant to be, because he urgered her to venture out and seek that confidence he knew she had. And she showed him how to love and see that he desereved to be loved! K & K Forever! :)
