Publisher's summary

Beth Cornett is the town good girl, so staying out of the way of the motorcycle club's dangerous members is a no-brainer. Unfortunately, Beth manages to catch the eye of Razer, who has every intention of tempting her despite her misgivings. When her worst fears are realized, Beth is left heartbroken and determined to forget her walk on the wild side. Razer will not change for any woman, not even Beth.

He realizes his mistake too late, however, and she is not about to forgive and forget. It takes a killer intent on targeting Beth to bring her back to him and the Last Riders for protection. Razer may have learned his lesson, but as long as she is at the club, Beth has to play by their rules.

Wow...What a CLUSTER F***

Horrible does not begin to cover how much I hated this book. Talk about the hero being an arrogant D-bag and the heroine a whimpering- skittish being.

Beth, having been raised is a very christian home somehow (really i can't explain it) becomes fascinated with Razer who is a giant ass! The author tried to make us see him as this millitary guy who joined a motorcycle group so that he can belong... Let's not forget this 'motorcycle' group is so quick to call the cops when shit hits the fan??? Unbelievably silly...

The entire book is Beth bending over backwards to fit her life into Razer's world. The only concession Razer makes is to "agree" to break up with Beth should he desire to have sex with some other female BUT he still gets to share his body other ways. Come on now, really???

I can go on and on about this book but the bottom line is...if all you want is eroticism from this book then buy it... but if you are a fan of romance and want a story that will grip your heart and whisk you away to HEA-ville then don't waste you time or credit. Good thing I only paid $2.99 for this listen otherwise i would definitely be returning it!

Well now... this was pretty darn good!

Well... I wasn't expecting that. The way this book started... I was so close to hitting the delete button on my Kindle. But I stuck with it and boy I was soooo glad I did. Right around chapter 4ish the book really picks up... but it was after party and Razer F* up big time that the book took off.

I loved the chemistry between Beth and Razor. It was really done well... after Beth move into the clubhouse... Her goody christian behavior is actually such a touching plot point in the end... OMG... I am still crying!! **Tear-drop**

But the all time best ever in the uninverse "break-up" scene still has me reeling... OMG! I was angry, sad, excited, in shock, I think comotose at one moment, and even horrified!!! It was the best, I mean the best ever break-up scene I have ever read/listen too... It was so good... I forgave the beginning of this book...just to get to that scene... AMAZING...

Narration was so-so for me... that turn into just right... Like I said...the beginning is brutal, I just didn't like it at all... and then all of a sudden, the whiney voice of Beth just worked, the gruffness of Razor's voice worked really well...the story all just came together in the end...

So worth a credit or sale... and Yes, I think even a buy... simply because of that break-up scene.

PLEASE!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

What disappointed you about Razer's Ride?

Where do I start.... This was an awful book!!!! So bad that I couldn't even finish it!! I love a good MC book... but I felt like I was being punished by listening to it.. I should have been paid to listen rather then pay for it... What a weak story line. Razor is a major dick!!! Why bother.. Really a pastor is going to step a side for a MC to pursue a relationship with his love interest... No Way!!!

What was most disappointing about Jamie Begley’s story?

Poorly written!! I tried... Really tried to finish this... After reading the reviews I tried to hang in there... made it half way and then bailed.. Poorly narrated!!! It was choppy and without feeling....

How did the narrator detract from the book?

It was like a robot narrating the story... Maybe a better narrator would have made it interesting... but the combination of the crap story and the poor narrating was to much.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Nope!!!! Not a one!!!

Any additional comments?

If you want a great story, listen to Kristen Ashleys "Motorcycle Man" or Madeline Sheehan MC series or even Joanna Wylde... These a great MC Authors!!!!

ABSOLUTELY NO REDEEMING QUALITIES !!

I wasn't sure at first if this book actually deserved any kind of review but after giving some thought to it I realized that if I could save someone the time it takes to return it to Audible after spending precious dollars or credits on it then it was time well spent in writing the review.

This book, in my opinion, has absolutely no redeeming qualities. I have read/listened to many MC books; most of which were raw, gritty, containing group sex, orgies, bad guys, worse guys, club whores, (well, you get the picture), but all had someone, most times, the H/H that had some heart, kindness and concern. The hero, and I use the term loosely, in this book was, simply put, an uncaring, heartless creep. Granted, I must admit, I did not finish the book as I didn't want to spend my time in doing so, but I just couldn't after listening to the 9 1/2 chapters and 4 hours and then going back and reading the reviews of those who did finish. I love a good hardcore MC story, but come on Ms. Begley. I'm not sure what you were trying to portray or say but I just don't get it. I get a "mean to the shy & different girl when she was a teen, vibe", yuck. This author is a definite "no go" any further for me.

Uhhhhhh.....NO!

Would you try another book from Jamie Begley and/or Elizabeth Hart?

Not if they are like this one.

Has Razer's Ride turned you off from other books in this genre?

No. I have read some books along these lines and this was too much to take. Taking a girl you know is innocent and "forcing" her to "swallow" by grabbing her head is so beyond degrading. This dude wasn't even respectful. Beth was not very smart. She let this guy do anything to her with the excuse of being more open. So you need to disrespect yourself to be open? I kept finding myself fast forwarding because I was getting so pissed off. If this is Ms. Begley's picture of Biker life? No thanks! They seem to be a bunch of overgrown street gangs who are worse than rappers calling women bitches and ho's! Except, they are living it and these women just can't help but be attracted and drawn into their sexiness! WOW! Delusional!

Crap

While it better represents the sexuality of a biker club. The girl being uptight super repressed and then just jumped into a relationship where the guy flat out tells her that it wouldn’t be a commuted or monogamous relationship but she’s going to give it a try? And to top it off the angst just goes on and on! Don’t waste your time

Great Audio of One of My Favorite Books

Where does Razer's Ride rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Definitely at the top! This is a favorite book of mine, the whole series is great, and I was so excited that RAZER'S RIDE was releasing in audio. The Narrator did a GREAT job and really made the story come alive!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Razer's Ride?

One of my favorite scene's is when Razer, Shade and Evie ride up to Beth, after the whole blow up and she tells em off...GO BETH!

What does Elizabeth Hart bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She was great with the accents of where the characters are from, and she really made all the voices stand out, none sounded too much the same. She was fun to listen to and really made the story come alive.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Sexy Biker + Fiesty Female = One Sweet Ride

Any additional comments?

Just a fabulous series! You might hate Razer the first time you read this, but give it a chance, cause each time I re-read, I kinda hate him a bit less...haha

(He redeems himself in KING, another release from Begley, so read the entire series)

Razer's story is fantastic

I love this story. The narrator was great. I have listened to four of Jamie Begley books and given five stars to all. I am looking forward to more from her.
