Publisher's summary

Out of the wickedly inventive imagination of number-one New York Times best-selling author J.R. Ward comes a world where sin and salvation collide in a battle for the future of mankind - where a cynical fallen angel struggles against the seven deadly sins and a demon's lure over seven chosen souls....

Mels Carmichael, reporter for the Caldwell Courier Journal, gets the shock of her life when a man stumbles in front of her car outside the local cemetery. After the accident, his amnesia is just the kind of mystery she likes to solve, but she soon discovers they're in over their heads with his past. Over their heads with passion, too...

As shadows walk the line between reality and another realm, and her lover's memory begins to come back, the two of them learn that nothing is truly dead and buried. Especially when youre trapped in a no-holds-barred war between angels and demons. With a soul on the line, and Mels's heart at risk, what in Heaven - or in Hell - will it take to save them both?

Love this Series...

What made the experience of listening to Rapture: A Novel of the Fallen Angels, Book 4 the most enjoyable?

I really like how J.R. Ward has intermingled these with the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series. How the time-line crosses over.

Who was your favorite character and why?

That's hard to say

What does Eric Dove bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Well I actually don't like nor hate the narrator. He is kind of bland.

Another Home Run for J.R. Ward

Her angels are not what most people would think of as an angel. He was a solider then a mercenary: who became tired of the killing. I may like the Fallen angel series better because it has a little more reality in it. Mathias doesn't really need Jim's help but Jim keeps Devina from causing to much trouble

Love the Series, Love the narrator Eric G. Dove.

Great Listen, totally kept my interest. Can't wait to get the next book in the series. Have to find out what Jim's deal is with Davina, and how he pulls it off.

EN-Raptured

I'm completely intrigued with this series. Ward amps up the intensity with each installment of this game between angel and demon.

Changed to slower speed on my iPod

The narration was way too fast. I changed the audiobook setting on my iPod to "slower" and it was perfect. I could not listen to it at the speed that was downloaded. Can audible ask the source to correct the speed?

Rapture

I think this might be my favorite yet, the redemption that happens in this book really called out to me.
Matthias wasn’t a good person, and he knew his fate. What I loved is that he accepted it and was going to pay the price but before he does he has the chance to do good. He had the choice.
THE CHOICE!

I think what I loved was he was already on his path and then Mel happens and poof a real honest to god good woman, and he wants to do right by her. Even if that means never seeing her again.
My heart can’t take this kind of swoon. I loved it, I loved it, I loved it!

Eric’s narration is really starting to grow on me. I guess it just took me so many books to appreciate him.

Not My Favorite but I still love me some J.R. Ward

I love her writing and although this is not one of my favorites, without a doubt I will download the next one. I believe one of the issues may be with the narrator. Firstly, I don't know if was the production or the narrator but he talks way too fast. Also, J.R. Ward has a lot of sarcasm in her writing, with interesting, sayings which I absolutely love. Unlike Jim Frangione who narrates the Black Dagger books, this narrator misses the point and skips over a lot of the sarcasm meant to explain the character. Jim Francione gets J.R. Ward. If you think the angels in this novel are angelic, do not read. These angels curse, swear and are truly not what you've usually read or heard about guardian angels. J.R. Ward breaks a lot of angelic philosophical rules.
