Awesome slightly paranormal romance & suspense… Lo

As the second book in this series, it’s a story about Payton, Victory’s sister. Payton is the CEO of the Winters Corporation. Payton didn’t know she had any powers until coming into contact with Collin. You can read about Collin’s history in the first book, Chasing Victory. Payton ends up keeping Collin calm, with her new found powers. Where does it lead them, and what kind of suspense do they end up entangled in?? You’ve just got to read this book! Like the first book in this series, which I loved, this book is a must read. It also has sexy Alpha males, beautiful women and some gripping suspense. As in the first book, the author portrays this story in a way that keeps you captivated to the end. This was my second Audio book, and I loved it. You’ve got to try out these Audio books, they’re awesome!!

Great second book in the series

This is a great second book in the series. We get to find out about Payton and Collin. They are kind of an opposites match. She is very set in her schedule and he has all the wolfie stuff going on. Turns out she mellows him and he loosens her up.

The story this time goes into more detail about the genetic testing, that has been going on for some time. There are many more connections and coincidences, not sure I was buying all of them. It would seem the world of Pharmaceuticals is very connected. A small petri dish, to use a bit of science humor!

The romance develops rather quickly. I am coming to expect that in this series. I am totally believing there are feelings there, I am just not to love yet. This book does have open bedroom door lovin!! Just enough detail to make it naughty but not enough to take it to erotic.

The book has a mixed narrative, you get both leads POV and some supporting cast. It is very intriguing to have insight into the thoughts of the bad guys. It definitely makes for a richer reading experience.

I love the supporting cast and really hope we get to see HEA for them too. I know it is mostly about the sisters, but I would love to see the military boys find love as well.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Robin Rowan, who is great. I loved her energy and the tone of her voice. She did a great job with both men and women. I was very happy to find she tones down Payton's voice in this book. She has a great pace that moves with the action of the story. I really hope she stays with the series.

Overall , this is a highly entertaining book. So much going on in the story that the romance tends to take a back seat. I can not wait for Willow's book!!

Outstanding second book to this series

Any additional comments?

I totally love this series Ms. Jaytanie has me hooked, this is so different than any other book of this nature. Military soldiers were injected with wolf DNA but they do not turn into a wolf, they do not grow fur or sharp teeth. What they do have is the power, their eyes change color etc. The winter sisters are finding out things about themselves they did not have a clue about. They each have special abilities that started before they were born, they are just now leaving them unsure of their past, their parents and so much more.

In Payton’s Pursuit we learn more about Payton Winters who is the CEO of The Winters Corporation. She learns her abilities deal with a grounding force to people who possess psychic powers. Payton is a wonderful character as are her sisters. She has trouble dealing with what she can and can’t do, she feels more than most which causes trouble for her. She has brains and beauty with a wonderful personality what is there not to love she is just a wonderful lovable character.

Collin we meet in book one he is a real hot head and must learn to control his self. After kidnapping Payton’s sister which he hoped she could help him get back to normal there is a few touch and go moments between these two. With Payton’s help he could learn to control his self but at what cost to Payton? I just love Collin as I did in book one he is a true stud muffin with his military background he is a man to watch out for. When you add the wolf DNA you have one super power male who kicks butt and takes no names. He is truly one gentle man until you make him mad or try to harm those he loves than he wolf side comes out and you better hit the ground running.

Robin Rowan as the narrator is outstanding she had me on the edge holding on more than once. She even gave me a few chills as she tells the tale the author gives. I could listen to her all day with her many different voices you can feel the pain, lose and sorrow these characters must live with. Her tones are right on the mark as you listen you felt as if you are there. Before you know it the book is over leaving you wanting more. She really did an outstanding job narrating the outstanding read.

As in book one the author gives you a wonderful believable story of pain, sorrow, lost, starting over, control, mystery as she twists the story it is anyone’s guess at the outcome. This author doesn’t give anything way as she turns a compelling tale of what life could be if some mad man got his hands on drugs mixed with animal DNA. She gives you wonderful characters you can fill their pain it rips your heart out to see how normal people are changed and lose control, why bad men use this power to gain the upper hand in most likely a war yet to come. You get to watch love grow between two people who are unsure and who could mostly likely kill each other if they do not learn how to control their abilities.

As a reader you want to reach out and help these characters take down the men who are trying to take over the world. You have to wonder what this author has in store in the rest of the series. There are many ways she can take this but I feel sure whatever she decides will keep you on the edge of your seat with your breath held for the outcome. I for one was glad to see the outcome in Payton’s Pursuit but it does leave you wondering who or what will be coming up next to give the world evil and what their plans are for these poor helpless children who have no control over their lives. This author has got me hooked on Paranormal I can’t wait for the next one in this series. I have only one question WHEN WILL BOOK 3 BE OUT? I can’t wait and want it now.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who thinks they might be interested in Paranormal this author just might turn you around as she has me. If you love Paranormal this is a must read to add to your book collection. I am sure before long she will be one of your favorite authors as she is mine.
