Publisher's summary

When Grace Andreas's sister, Petra, and her husband are both killed, Grace inherits the power and responsibilities of the Oracle of Louisville, as well as her sister's two young children - neither of which she is prepared for. Then Khalil, Demonkind and Djinn prince of House Marid, decides to make himself a part of the household, both as guardian and counterpoint to Grace's impudence towards the Elder Races.

Loved this Book!!!

I totally loved this book! Sophie does a wonderful job with the narrations and the story is terrific. I so enjoyed Dragon Bound but was very disappointing with Thea's next 2 books then she did this one and it's super. Takes place right after Serpent's Kiss

I loved the characters! I can see the attraction in both directions and the growth and learning of each. I would absolutely recommend this - I've listened to it several times and enjoy it each time.

Super Hot!

This is book 4 in the series and it is great, but you should read the first 3 books in the series before you read this one. The story was so much better knowing the background of the characters. Thea Harrison does a great job linking her stories and the characters, so I'm hooked on this series! Thea also makes each male lead character in the series hot, interesting and unique. You will never feel bored or that the story line is "cookie cutter."

In this book, Khalil, a Demonkind Gin, and Grace, the Oracle, are both really good, kind, strong and interesting characters. The passion was hot! The book has some twists, and the ending is not what I expected (which was great). Thea leaves the story a bit open-ended, so we will see these characters again in another story. I can't wait to read the next book!

The narrator, Sophie Eastlake, is awesome!

Light and funny at times. At times it brings a smile to your face.

Have you listened to any of Sophie Eastlake’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Wonderful performance by Sophie Eastlake. Keep bringing it to us girl! Haven't listened to her before but looking forward to hearing her again. You go girl.

Very good

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a story with the djinn and oracle but It’s good. I don’t consider them major characters and not sure I wanted to get into a lot of domestic issues. But there is a mystery to solve, romance, some guest appearances by some favorites and some very funny dialogue. Overall, I enjoyed it as I do the Elder Races books.

Another winner!

I wasn't sure I was going to like this one, because the Oracle seemed a little rough in the last book, but I was so wrong! The characters are a little different in this book, but still very well developed and interesting. (Does anyone else envision Tom Hiddleston as Khalil?)

Sophie Eastlake does another outstanding job performing this book. Chloe's voice is adorable and I literally laughed out loud during the dialog between Khalil and Rune. Dude.
