When Grace Andreas's sister, Petra, and her husband are both killed, Grace inherits the power and responsibilities of the Oracle of Louisville, as well as her sister's two young children - neither of which she is prepared for. Then Khalil, Demonkind and Djinn prince of House Marid, decides to make himself a part of the household, both as guardian and counterpoint to Grace's impudence towards the Elder Races.

And Oracles moon was a really good book I enjoyed it and recommend it to any PNR lovers out there. It was just as good or better than the first 3 Elder races. A lot of lol moments.
Married, middle-age, owner of 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a messy house.
I keep quoting this one to myself. Especially about Damascus, and this book isn't even about Damascus, that's just a story Grace (the main character) tells herself. Yeah, it's that complicated, and I LOVE it.
So a Jinn blows in, declares himself protector of your children and won't leave. What do you do now? That's where our stubborn and gifted Grace finds herself. Problem is, the Jinn has no idea what he's walked into, either.
It's a wonderful story, excellent narration, and I really want Ms. Harrison to come up with Part Two for Grace. This story is finished, but there is more, and I'd love to hear it.
I think I've listened to this story 6 times now? It's just a lot of fun to listen to Grace and Kahlil argue and tease. Neither are the biggest player in the grand scheme of this whole series, but this seems to have become my favorite one. Maybe because Grace is the most human, and I can identify with her. I'm not sure.
I wish all stories were this good, and left me this happy when they are done.
I really think Thea Harrison has hit her stride. This is the fourth book in the Elder Races series and by far the best. She seems to be moving farther away from straight up romance to fantasy with a strong romance theme.
I really enjoyed her characters in this novel. There was so much more depth to their development than I usually expect for a romance novel.
I'm so glad I used 2 credits to get the first three books in the series during an audible sale. Otherwise I might never have considered this series worth it.
I am an avid fantasy and urban fantasy reader. I also read a lot of millitary romance.
I like this series quite a lot. Like most series the first one is my favorite, but this book is a close second. Sophie Eastlake is incredibly talented. I like her Chloe Neil books too. Somehow the men sound like men and she can do women and children too.
Really loved the Gen and Oracle s fights. So many times I'd forget I was listening to a book. I got many a curious glance when I'd burst out laughing while trying to grocery shop. Really loved this one. Thank you so much for this great read.
