Publisher's summary

When Grace Andreas's sister, Petra, and her husband are both killed, Grace inherits the power and responsibilities of the Oracle of Louisville, as well as her sister's two young children - neither of which she is prepared for. Then Khalil, Demonkind and Djinn prince of House Marid, decides to make himself a part of the household, both as guardian and counterpoint to Grace's impudence towards the Elder Races.

Awesome sauce

I loved this book. The narrator was awesome. I loved how ALL the Jin back up Grace against Kalel's father. This was amazing. If I didn't have kids I would have had it done along time ago.

Enjoyed every moment

I was waiting for this book to come out - I enjoyed every minute of it.

Narrator - Wonderful job as always. Sophie Eastlake is one of those narrators that I will always enjoy listening to. She does an amazing job.

Story - I still enjoy Dragon Bound the most. Oracle's Moon is the second best in this series. Followed by Storm's Heart and than Serpent's Kiss.

The story starts directly after the meeting with the Oracle in Serpent's Kiss. I mean the morning after and goes from there. There are a lot of things going on this book and oddly enough I think the book should have been longer, flushed out a bit more in certain areas. The book is witty, the chars both interesting and well thought out. We see more about why both Grace and Khalil are the way they are. We learn a bit more about factions in the world. And a bit more about the root of the Oracle's power.

The counterpoint of Grace and Khalil is interesting and Thea does a great job showing each of them coming to terms with the attraction, their lives, etc.

Now, keep in mind I really enjoyed this book and plan to relisten to it this weekend when reading the following.

I only gave the story 4 stars because I think Thea Harrison has some great ideas for some epic fantasy in here but she is working perhaps against the story in trying to keep these in the fantasy romance realm. I would be very interested in seeing more, more about these different groups, their goals, their reasons, etc. I want to say more about certain parts of the book but don't wish to spoil things either. There are a couple places in the story where if felt like there should have been more. What was there was enough for a simple romance fantasy, but if there had been more,more.. just more! (yea maybe I"m just becoming more demanding in my reads/listens)

OMG! NO WAY! Awesomeness!!!

I actually avoided this book. I cannot believe I did...but yes...I really did. Once I got to this book in the series I skipped it. I thought it would be horrible b/c of Khalil being a Djinn. I mean throughout the series Khalil has been sooo anal. But WOW. Grace is so down to earth that it isn't funny. She reminds me of truly southern woman. Khalil is explain so much better in this book, so are the Djinn. Khalil and Grace story is soo good, I keep re listening.

Great Great

Narration rocked!!!

Love this one!

I don’t normally write reviews but I had to write this one. I simply love this series. And I loved Grace and Khalil chemistry. I love every book in the series so far, but this one is on my top 10 favorite books list.
Stephanie Eastlake does a fabulous job in bringing the characters alive. She does a great job of connecting the listeners with a great story.
Thanks for that.
If you liked book 1 you will love this one too. If you haven’t picked up one of the books in this series yet, Make sure to read all the books in order as this is not a stand alone book.
Can’t wait for the next one happy reading/listening all.

The Jinn ahhhhhhh

It is Thea. It is Elder Races. Enough said. I was a bit taken aback at first because of the current Oracle's circumstances. It was so "real". But, it developed into a very sweet love story with lots of action and some of our favorite characters making appearances. I can listen and read the Elder Races every day!
