On Finding Your tribe and Becoming who you were meant to be

In the beginning, I wasn’t sure I’d like having so many readers...what if I only liked one or two...but not the others...would it spoil the book for me? Also, it was a little slow and dry in the beginning, especially the parts about Ed...I thought” Oh GOD, not a software developer! This is going to be so boring...I was SO WRONG! JoJo Moyer spun two stories about the lives of one family Jess, Nicky, Tangier’s, and their dog Norman...and Ed Nichols. The readers did a wonderful job of immersing themselves into ”becoming” the characters, changing their voices as needed and infusing the characters with personality and life! The characters became so real to me, I would listen into the wee hours of the morning, unable to put the book down! The last couple of chapters, I cried, and I worried things wouldn’t work out between Jess and her family, and with Ed. I loved the way JoJo Moyes brought in Ed, and we saw him slowly change from this stressed out and rude businessman, hardly likeable, and grow into a man who initially only did things, like driving a family he didn’t even know, to Scotland, and saw how he developed and became more human and vulnerable and caring through their crazy adventures and spending time together, and seeing the feelings of the characters change and grow deeper for each other, changing the lives of each of them! I never wanted the book to end!

My new favorite author

JoJo Moyes is my new favorite author. Her stories are always fresh and interesting. She wraps them up nicely and ties up the loose ends so you don’t feel wanting. Just wanting to find another book she’s written!

I am enjoying all of Jojo Moyes titles. This was brilliant. I really felt the characters. I cannot imagine anyone not thoroughly enjoying this book.

They did such a good job of having the different voices compliment each other. everybody chosen for their part was spot on. I really think the readers made this story come alive and be fun and moving.

Loved this story

Again Jojo Moyes kept me glued to this book. I loved that 4 different people performed. It made everything more realistic. This one was funny & heartwarming.

Fabulous, Real, story.

This book surprised me. I got it for a change to my usual topics and didn't really expect a lot from it. However, it totally surpassed any preconceived ideas I had about it! The story felt Real, like something we all might go through (or have or be going through now). As in life, sometimes "when it rains, it pours" with bad news and bad breaks. In this case, try as she might, the main character just could not get ahead. I laughed and cried at the end. Loved the book as well as the vocal performances by the various parties! Highly recommend.

I loved this story. It had some turns that I didn’t anticipate. It made me laugh out loud and nearly brought me to tears. A nice feel good story.

Love Jojo Moyes

This book is about a married woman who’s husband skips out on his son and their daughter leaving the wife to makes ends meet alone. Then an amazing opportunity comes alone for her daughter when they need it the most and it leads to a great journey of self discovery and healing for the 3. Along the way the driver who is initially a stranger becomes more. Very well written :) love the characters and plot. Narration was great too!

Enjoyed the book, although a little unbelievable. I felt the characters were real, dealing with real life situations. They were fully developed. Enjoyable story.

Honestly, I was looking for something different when I found this. I have been addicted to thrillers and mysteries and I needed something lighthearted. What a joy! I couldn’t stop listening because it was so much fun. I recommend this.
