my favorite in the series the love of cilea and Kyle is amazing my second time listening

Surprisingly Sweet

Honestly not what I've come to expect from James. I was introduced to her through the Rough Rider series which is frankly predictable and over sexed. The Black Top series not only has more heart and the sex more meaning the narrator is way better.

You can't always find much heart or see the love in this genre because the dominance themes and sex almost always over shadow it. That is not the case in this book or the others in this series. The women are allowed to be strong the men vulnerable and you can feel the connection growing between the couples beyond the sex.

Great hot book

Excellent story, had lots of emotional aspects and lots of hot sex. Covered areas and details of true ranch life. Great narration by Ms Chase

Ride Em Cowboy!

What did you love best about One Night Rodeo?

I love the first reaction of Abe and Hank when Celia tells them she and Kyle are married, I can just see them looking at each other and belly laughing, it made me laugh so hard. I also love that they fixed their mistake.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I didn't really like Kyle in Corralled, but I love him in this book. He was sort of an a-hole in Corralled, but what a sweetie in this book. He was so sweet when he reassures Celia she is special and how he loves his mother even though she's not the best mother. In this book he shows his vulnerable side when he feels inadequate as a rancher and makes a huge mistake.

What does Scarlet Chase bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her different voices make each character come alive.....I can picture the handsome guys as well as the beautiful women.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

She loved him since she was a girl, she hated him since she was a girl, he loves her because she's not a girl anymore!

This is the best of the first five books, it's not quite as raunchy as the other books, but it is still very sexy and erotic. I'm glad the "backdoor" action was excluded with Kyle and Celia.

Slow Starter

At first I did not know if I can continue this book...it was a bit hard to follow for me..maybe the accent or the narrator’s voice...but I didn’t think I was going to finish. It was not holding my attention at all. But glad I made myself continue because the book was worth it overall. There were other over descriptive parts that I could have skipped but hang in there..u will love Kyle and Celia. Kyle was oh la la cowboy. That’s what roped me in for the long haul.

this was a cute book. The characters did everything i wanted them to do, which is rare in romance novels. I want the man to be a bit cave manish, but sweet and honest. I want the woman to be willing but not weak and just a little snarky. I enjoyed this book and will reread it in the future. I did not read the other books in the series and probably will not since they were discussed in this book.
