Publisher's summary

New York Times best-selling author Stephanie Laurens is praised for her sultry Bar Cynster series of romances, including A Secret Love and All About Love. On a Wild Night may be the most sensual and completely uninhibited Cynster book yet.

It's 1825 in London, and the two curvaceous and blonde 23-year-old Cynster twins, Amanda and Ameliaare, are desperate to get married. All they need are two fine, strapping gentlemen - preferably with large purses.

So what do these two lusty young ladies do? They make a visit to the local gaming halls, of course! But when Amanda unexpectedly bumps into the notorious Martin Fulbridge, the fifth Earl of Dexter, a chain of events is set into motion that will leave one sister ravished - and the other ravenous for all the juicy details.

Mature listeners will delight in Amanda and Amelia's scandalous adventures around London.

Finally found a story...

When Laurens does write a storyline, it's usually pretty good. The storyline, aside from sex scenes and flirting, comes very late in the book.

Did not connect with heroine

I did not enjoy this book as much as I thought I would. Amanda is a spoiled, manipulative young lady and I found myself not liking her half way through the book.

One of her best

Overall this is one of the best developed, performed and read books of Lauren’s. The female character’s strength and bull stubbornness does not lessen the males lead character’s role. Lauren’s builds a drama with surprises, a complete romance, great sex scenes and a bit of comedy relief.

I followed the series from paperback to audio and it only got better.

One of my favorites

One of my favorites in the Cynster series. The beginning is a little long and slightly excessive but the last half is great with some interesting twists. Overall a great story!

Steamy Historical Romance!

WOW! This is what a historical romance should be! I'm know questioning why I haven't gotten the entire series! I could fill the entire review with exclamation points for how I felt about this book. I have listened to or read a few books in this series and have yet to be disappointed. Simmon Prebble's voice is perfect for this kind of dominant male character and he does a fabulous time with the female characters as well. The story is filled with steamy scenes and yet the story moves right along with it. Not too predictable, Yes I knew she'd get her man in the end but it was the journey that was so entertaining. Wish knew a man's mind as well as she does! I highly recommend this one!

This is wild!

This book is one of my favorites. I love it when the heroine knows her mind. Simon Prebble is probably my favorite narrator....he has taught me so much about the english language. Beautifully done.

Laurens and Prebble do it again!

There is never enough I can think to say about these Cynster novels. They make you laugh and cry and guess and, for me at least, keep my interest to the very end. Stephanie Laurens has created an entire family of powerful, fun, interesting characters in her Cynster series, and Simon Prebble makes them live. This novel makes it clear that a Cynster woman won't accept any man who isn't as strong as her male relatives, and that she will demand what their wives demanded.

Not one of her best.

Any additional comments?

This was OK, but I would recommend a different Stephanie Laurens novel. This was just fair. Simon Prebble did a good job on the narration, but the story was lacking.

Twin Amanda starts the hunt

This is one of my favorite books in my favorite historical romance series.
The twins have decided to proactively hunt for the men they will marry and we get to enjoy their logic and the hunt.
IMHO it has a great balance of romance, sexiness, intelligence, humor, suspense, and HEA. Even the epilogue with the bouquet and farewell was perfect.
It’s years after I first read these stories in paperback and I realized it’s time to post the reviews they deserve. Enjoy!
Prebble is an outstanding narrator for the book and series.

Definitely Wild Nights!

Another wonderful Cynster saga. The three threads of the story blend seamlessly: Amanda and Martin, the mystery to be solved, and the ties to the Cynster clan. The narrator presents each of the characters as easily identifiable individuals and conveys the context and emotions of the story superbly. The continuity achieved by having the same excellent narrator enhances the whole. The story comes alive in a way that is both different from and complementary to reading the text oneself.
Loved it! Highly recommended.
