Publisher's Summary

The second installment in Kresley Cole’s best-selling steamy Immortals After Dark series is now available on audio for the first time!

Centuries ago, Sebastian Wroth was turned into a vampire - a nightmare in his mind - against his will. Burdened with hatred and alone for ages, he sees little reason to live - until an exquisite, fey creature comes to kill him, inadvertently saving him instead.

When Kaderin the Cold Hearted lost her two beloved sisters to a vampire attack long ago, a benevolent force deadened her sorrow - accidentally extinguishing all of her emotions. Yet whenever she encounters Sebastian, her feelings - particularly lust - emerge multiplied. For the first time, she’s unable to complete a kill.

The prize of the month-long contest is powerful enough to change history, and Kaderin will do anything to win it for her sisters. Wanting only to win her, forever, Sebastian competes as well, taking every opportunity - as they travel to ancient tombs and through catacombs, seeking relics around the world - to use her new feelings to seduce her. But when forced to choose between the vampire she’s falling for and reuniting her family, how can Kaderin live without either?

    "Bastian!!!!! Soooo Powerful!!!!"

Sebastian totally made this book. He is a vampire who's brothers turn him centuries ago. He never wanted to be a vampire and he doesn't follow the rules of the Lore, or the rest of the crazy blood sucking mean vampires. He stays to himself. If you have read book 1 u will know Kadrin. She comes to kill him and he kinda imprints on her. Well not imprint, his heart starts beating, which mean she is his destined bride. But the story follows Kadrin on a Amazing race adventure trying to win a key that will transport her to the past to save her dead sisters. She is aided by Bastian and they just fall deeper in love. But Bastian is soooooo smexy... OMG!!! Sooo good. Better than book 1. Especially when Kadin teases him... OMG.. best smex scene ever....

Another good narration by Petkoff. I don't listen to male narrators but I will always listen to Petkoff. He is very good. No whinny female voices...

Worth the credit. I would even buy.

    "The Voice"
What made the experience of listening to No Rest for the Wicked the most enjoyable?

Robert Petkoff's voice is amazing, he pulls accents out of his hat and does them smoothly even when he switching from a Scott to a Russian!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Reagan, so I can not wait to read/hear her book. They just need to record them faster, I bought all the books so if Audible doesnt catch up with me in time, I still get my characters just not with that great voice behind them.

What does Robert Petkoff bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    His voice and energy.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both, and I just cant stop listening, I listen at work, home, gym, I am obsessed.

"More fun than you can imagine"
Would you listen to No Rest for the Wicked again? Why?

Already have. I listen to this story when I explore the internet and listened to it when I was reading the book. It is a wonderful experience.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sebastian is my favorite in the story, because no matter what has happen to him, he is still noble and sincere. He takes Kaderin the way she is and he is proud of her.

    Which scene was your favorite?

I love the whole concept of an Amazing Race with supernatural beings. Puts a whole new mean into fair play.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

A race to the finish line that will make you say, Damn that was good.

    Any additional comments?

Great series for those with a sense of humor.

Would you listen to No Rest for the Wicked again? Why?

Yes, if nothing else, then to hear Mr. Petkoff narrate.

Would you recommend No Rest for the Wicked to your friends? Why or why not?

    Yes, yes, yes!

Have you listened to any of Robert Petkoff’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Mr. Petkoff's abilities as a narrator would make listening to the phone book a pleasure.

    "Keeps gettin' better"
Would you listen to No Rest for the Wicked again? Why?

Yes, a thousand times, YES! I was leery about listening to this series because I love each of the books so much but Robert Petkoff doesn't just do them justice, he brings them to life with the sound of his voice. He does female voices and male voices equally well and drives the story forward by investing you in these characters even more than Kresley Cole does on her own. I wasn't aware that was even possible.

What did you like best about this story?

This book isn't my favorite of Kresley Cole's (in print) but hearing it made it climb the ranks in a fast and furious way. Hearing the characters made me care more about them, made me scramble to see if I remembered what happened next. Robert Petkoff made me feel like I was reading the book for the first time, all over again.

What does Robert Petkoff bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It's not just how he brings the characters *awake*, like you're getting ready to have a conversation with them yourself-- though he does that marvelously. It's the tension, the absolute struggle Sebastian and Kaderin are going through. These two, neither or whom have displayed any real emotion in centuries, are born again in Petkoff's voicing.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

You know you're having a bad day when falling in love with your enemy and learning how to navigate your own emotions from scratch are worse than a deadly, immortal version of the Amazing Race. Better pack light-- you never know when you're gonna kick someone else off a cliff.

    Any additional comments?

Read this book and all the others Robert Petkoff has done for Kresley Cole. You can't go wrong-- it's not possible.

"It was fun following Sebastian and Kaderin!"
What did you love best about No Rest for the Wicked?

Kaderin continued to fight her feelings for this awesome man/vampire, but physically...she gave it her all.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    Sebastian...What a man (okay...vampire)!

What about Robert Petkoff’s performance did you like?

Roberts voice became more powerful, as Sabastian became more confident.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There is a scene in a nightclub when Sebastian thinks Kaderin is going to sleep with the half demon who owns the club. Thier reactions are differant then expected!
