Great read

Slow read but okay and drama at the last pages of book chapter's read !!

A tamer "50 Shades" style story

Not at all what I expected. Good story with many twists. I will listen again.

Definitely not believable. Same ole story hot rich man falls for meek strong willed dansel. Lots of sex.

Perfect Title

I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I did listen to the audio and read the book. Great value, especially with Kindle Unlimited. I read the mixed reviews. This is steamy, really steamy. Daunte is a cop, an alpha male, and a semi-dominant. He's not into BDSM but he does like control. If you are a reader who doesn't like a lot of sex or language in a book, this may not be for you. However, the storyline is really good and not your typical big bad boss story. He's a homicide cop on forced leave to heal from a shooting where his partner was killed and he was shot multiple times.

Dante's visiting doctor is a beautiful, young, genius level, innocent woman. The sparks fly both ways. In fairly short order he takes care of the innocence factor. And continues to do so throughout the rest of the book. It turns out that she has a history of an almost fatal attack which brought her to the small safe town. Not so safe when the killer tracks her down and ransacks her home. The lover becomes the protector.

If you like romance, heat, and don't mind strong language. This one is for you. I loved it enough to order the next two books in the series. I'm anxious to who is up next--pun intended.
