Publisher's summary

Nothing sucks the romance out of world travel like a boyfriend who may or may not have broken up with you in a hotel room in Brussels. Jane Jameson's sexy sire Gabriel has always been unpredictable, but the seductive, anonymous notes that await him at each stop of their international vacation, coupled with his evasive behavior over the past few months, finally push Jane onto the next flight home to Half Moon Hollow -- alone, upset, and unsure whether Gabriel just ended their relationship without actually telling her.

Now the children's-librarian-turned-vampire is reviving with plenty of Faux Type O, some TLC from her colorful friends and family, and her plans for a Brave New Jane. Step One: Get her newly renovated occult bookstore off the ground. Step Two: Support her best friend, Zeb, and his werewolf bride as they prepare for the impending birth of their baby...or litter. Step Three: Figure out who's been sending her threatening letters, and how her hostile pen pal is tied to Gabriel. Because for this nice girl, surviving a broken heart is suddenly becoming a matter of life and undeath.

Ooh, its getting better and better

Jane and Gabriel are at odds, Zeb and Jolene are expecting. Andrea and Dick are still going strong, oh and someone is trying to kill Jane...again!

This story revolved around Jane and Gabriel's relationship and what he is hiding, the bookstore is now up and running so Jane is trying to branch out into the business world of Half Moon Hollow, and someone is harassing Jane and trying to drive her insane (if they don't kill her first). She finally gets to make up with her sister and connect more with her mother. Gabriel and Dick bury the hatchet and Andrea survives a horrific attack.

Each story gets better and better. Jane is growing as a vamp, and her circle of family keeps getting wider. Even the undead can find their HEA.

Harper + Ronconi = FabulouS!!!

I could go on and on about Molly Harper's wittiness and talent.... She is one of my favorite top 5 authors ever... But when she teamed up with Amanda Ronconi, oh my! What a pair! Ronconi's spot-on vocals and her ability to bring Harper's characters to life always leaves me smiling and begging for more!

Jane's at it Again

I am really enjoying this series; each book gets funnier and funnier. There is just enough mystery to the plots to keep you reading/listening to see who the bad guy is in each book. After reading a lot of darker books lately it’s nice to take a step back and enjoy the lightness of Harper’s world she has created in the Nice Girls series.

Nice Girls Don’t Live Forever picks up not long after Nice Girls Don’t Date Dead Men ended. Jolene and Zeb are married and expecting a baby. Jane and Gabriel are still having some relationship issues. And we get a good healthy dose of my favorite character in the series, Dick.

Were as each chapter in Nice Girls Don’t Date Dead Men started with a witty quote from the book about this one has golden nuggets of wisdom from Love Bites: A Female Vampire Guide to Less Destructive Relationship.

This series has plenty of pop culture digs but I LOVE, LOVE, the reference to Buffy the Vampire Slayer and how Jane thought about finding James Marsters (aka Spike) and making him her love monkey. Come if vampires were real wouldn't we all hunt down our favorite vamp actor and turn him.

The book starts out with Jane and Gabriel on vacation in Europe but it's not as fun or romantic as it sounds. After some mishaps, they return home and the weirdness that is Jane's life gets into full swing. There is ongoing problems with family members and some new adventures for Jane and a group of Stepford Wives that run the Chamber of Commerce in Half Moon Hollow.

Much like the other books in the series, I would highly recommend Nice Girls Don't Live Forever to anyone that is a fan of snarky light reads about a vamp chick that is just trying to adjusted to her new undead life.

I can't wait for Nice Girls Don't Bite Their Neighbors to come out February 28, 2012. I've got it on my Audible.com wishlist.

Awesome story!! Can't wait for more!

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! I bought this audiobook because I liked the narrator and Molly Harper’s humor in her books. I got the first 5 books so far.

This is the 3rd book in the series, and it is for adults only due to content and humor. I highly recommend reading or listening to this series in order because it makes it more awesome when you know the characters and world better.

The narrator is still Amanda, YAY!! I really like her style and how she brings the story to life with all the sarcasm and snark. Of course, she wouldn’t be able to do this without Molly Harper writing a fabulous story. I love how she always manages to surprise me with the story. Her writing style makes it easy to love the series filled with action, family drama, intrigue, and humor. I really want to collect the whole series.

In this story, Jane and Gabriel go overseas on vacation, but something is going on because Gabriel is acting weird and getting weird letters. He is not talking about what is going, and Jane isn’t pushing for answers. Of course, this leads to doubt which leads to more trouble. Jane goes back home to help with her improved bookstore. Things are still crazy because Zeb’s wife is pregnant, family craziness is still there, and of course the letters. It amazes me how much trouble Jane can get into without even trying. This story has just as much action as the others, and I can’t wait to see what happens next to Jane.

I highly recommend to any vamp fans who love snarky vampires who tend to have chaos follow them around! This series is so much fun!

Very Entertaining!

I absolutely love all Molly’s books and Amanda bringing them to life. Nice girls don’t live forever did not disappoint, and I can’t wait to get started on book 4, Nice girls don’t bite their neighbor.

A laugh out loud book!

What made the experience of listening to Nice Girls Don't Live Forever the most enjoyable?

My husband and I love to listen to Molly Hunter's books. Her humor and sarcastic wit is so funny! You can picture the scene and the expressions and even though the events are fictitious they are so close to something your own grandmother, mother, sister or friends would do you relate and laugh out loud.

What did you like best about this story?

Always the quick wit of the primary character.

Which scene was your favorite?

The scene between the grandmother and the ghost of her dead sister fighting and name calling in the kitchen.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Dick finds his girlfriend in the basement. He became a down to earth, loveable guy instead of the sleazy low life of the group.Another was when Zeb held his babies for the first time. He grew up, stepped up, and became the man instead of the boy.

Molly Harper is a favorite

This is the third in the Half Moon Hollow series and they just keep getting better. My sister and I share recommendations for authors to listen to on Audible, I recommended Molly Harper Southern Eclectic series and she got hooked and started the Half Moon Hollow series. Then she got me hooked on the series. The books pull you in and you want to listen straight through to the end but when you get to the end you want to start the next book to see what happens next. This is a series you don't want to put down. The narrator does a great job as well, the books wouldn't be the same with a different narrator. I recommend any of Molly Harper's work I have not found any of them disappointing. Her inclusion of true southern cultural behaviors makes the books all that more enjoyable for someone from the south as I recognize the colloquialism and behaviors from my own life experience and they ring true. You have to be from the south to write and depict it accurately; I have read several books written by authors who have never lived here and quickly recognize the fact they have limited experience with the life of a southern family. Molly Harper has never been false in her depictions of a southern family and the crazy interactions that occur on a daily basis.
