Nothing sucks the romance out of world travel like a boyfriend who may or may not have broken up with you in a hotel room in Brussels. Jane Jameson's sexy sire Gabriel has always been unpredictable, but the seductive, anonymous notes that await him at each stop of their international vacation, coupled with his evasive behavior over the past few months, finally push Jane onto the next flight home to Half Moon Hollow -- alone, upset, and unsure whether Gabriel just ended their relationship without actually telling her.
Now the children's-librarian-turned-vampire is reviving with plenty of Faux Type O, some TLC from her colorful friends and family, and her plans for a Brave New Jane. Step One: Get her newly renovated occult bookstore off the ground. Step Two: Support her best friend, Zeb, and his werewolf bride as they prepare for the impending birth of their baby...or litter. Step Three: Figure out who's been sending her threatening letters, and how her hostile pen pal is tied to Gabriel. Because for this nice girl, surviving a broken heart is suddenly becoming a matter of life and undeath.

Amanda Ranconi is perfect for this series. Her wonderful expressions of wry humor and sarcasm make for great listening.
The best part of the story was the way Jane handled her conflicting feelings about Gabriel.
I have listened to several of the Jane Jameson books narrated by Amanda Ronconi and none of them have disappointed. Her voice is such a compliment to the series and I can't imagine anyone else doing these characters. I also listened to Ms. Harpers Naked Werewolf series, also narrated by Ms. Ronconi and they were fabulous also.
Gabriel apologizing to Jane was moving for me. He really is a sweetheart, just needs some lessons in romance.
This is a fangtasticly fun series, I love it!
I would recommend it definitely since it is such a nice break from most romantic mysteries. No heavy drama and self torturing thoughts from the protagonist but a light and funny presentation of bizarre things happening.Even my husband who has quite a distaste for my love of vampire stories had to laugh.- No he didn't listen to the book by choice ;-)
Well you should obviously start with the first book
The Amanda Ronconi was easy to listen to it made me laugh out loud.
That she was easy to listen to and to imagine on what was happening with the way that she read.
I just really enjoyed listening to the story, it kept me either laughing or weeping. Very entertaining!
She was absolutely the perfect reador for the story, she really nails the moods and emotions
Like the earlier titles in the
The slightly raunchy
I love these books!!! They are funny & light hearted with just enough heat. I liked the Sookie books by Charlaine Harris but these books are just plain FUN.
Amanda Ronconi does a WONDERFUL job with bringing all the characters to life. They could not have a better person reading in my opinion.
If you like to laugh & like the vampire stuff, you will enjoy all the Jane Jameson adventures!
I probably would not. The only book I've listened to again was The Help.
The author's sense of humor is laugh out loud funny at times... great chick lit humor!
Jane is a multi-dimensional character and has a great story to develop... hope the author continues with both Jane and her werewolf series.
Say something about yourself!
A new spin on vampires. This book will have you laughing out loud and clamoring for more of Jane Jameson and her dysfunctional friends.
